Tuesday Talk & Ten On The Tenth

So thrilled to have my card chosen as one of the top three at CAS Colours & Sketches last week.

This is one of my favourite challenges to play and I hardly ever miss putting in an entry.  So onto this week's theme:

http://cascoloursandsketches.blogspot.co.uk/2014/06/challenge-77-colours.html

I'm beginning to build up my stash of Stampin' Up ink pads and actually have two of these colours.  They immediately felt cheerful and sunny and summery, so I decided go with the theme from Time Out as inspiration for my card's image.

Grab Our Badge!
SUMMER
with the optional twist of a FLOWERS
I used a combination of stamps from two of my favourite suppliers - Uniko Studio and Clearly Besotted.  My card almost made itself and I'm pleased with its fresh summery look.

Have you noticed my new watermark? Finding a new brighter place to photograph my cards meant my old watermark hardly showed up on the white, so I reinvented it using a shade of grey.

Supplies:
Stamps: Clearly Besotted, Diagonal Stripes; Uniko Studio, Flower Power #1,2 & 3
Inks: SU, daffodil delight, tempting turquoise; Memento, bamboo leaves
Embellishments: doodlebug mini pearls Spring assortment; Kuretake, Wink of Stella

Now for my Ten on the Tenth. The theme this month is Early Summer in my garden.  thinking it would be good to repeat this in September as a late Summer comparison.

1. Some yellow to echo today's card

2. More yellow, but my favourite pink creeping in!

3. Let's just go with the pink!

4. And more pink:

5. And even more pink:

6. Just to show it's not all pink:

7. Bet you were waiting for this - purple! Loving the fly/bee thingie gathering the pollen.

8. And of course more purple:

9. It's been raining a lot round here recently:

10. And possibly my favourite of the ten:

All the photos were taken on my phone's camera - pretty amazing the results that can be achieved. One day I'm going to conquer my husband's DSLR Canon, but I'm not that motivated when the phone does such a great job.

Thanks for dropping by today.  Your visit is much appreciated.
