CAS Colours & Sketches #116

Thank you for all the amazing entries using my sketch last week at CAS Colours & Sketches. This week it's my second time to choose the colours and they were heavily influenced by this photo.

So here are my colours for this week's challenge:

And my card was also inspired by that vase of tulips.  I tried to echo the feel of the tulips by using pens on the stamp, making each one slightly different.

The colours are more true to real life in the photo below. I used that beautiful spotty sentiment from Clearly Besotted - still really loving how it contrasts with the smaller simpler font of the rest of the greeting.

And a trio of yellow sprinkles just finished it off a treat.

Supplies:
Stamps: Clearly Besotted, Pretty Petals Plus & Happy Birthday
Inks: SU, daffodil delight, strawberry slush, wild wasabi
Embellishments: Doodlebug sprinkles, bumblebee asst.

Maybe you like these colours - certainly hoping so and I'm so looking forward to seeing what you create. Need some more inspiration? Go check out the awesome cards the DT created!

Thanks for your time today, I really appreciate your visit. And keep crafting!

  3. Gorgeous flowers and a gorgeous interpretation of them on your card Jane. I love how you've used pens to make each flower slightly different. I got a bit hung up on trying to find the right shade of pink but looking at how others have interpreted the colours I don't think I needed to have been quite so particular. But, hey ho, never mind, will take note for next time! Stef x
