Today sees the start of a new challenge over at The Memory Nest. And remember throughout August there will be a new sketch and winner each week. Plus the more you play the more entries you get into the grand prize draw at the end of the month.
Lots of triangles on this sketch and I did wonder how to incorporate them at first. So I got on and placed my photo and some patterned papers pretty much as in the sketch and then took some time, walked away for a while, and came back with fresh eyes.
I then matted the photo and stuck everything down before stamping some triangular strips along one edge of each of the patterned papers. I added the title and my journalling, but still felt it needed a little something more.
Then I remembered my washi stash and chose the multi coloured banner washi and placed this on the other edges of the patterned paper.
Don't you just love that this was all his own idea - all communicated by pointing and trying to drag the slide himself. He certainly knows how to communicate even with a limited vocabulary - actions really do speak louder than words!
Supplies:Ppaer: AC, kraft cardstock; scraps from my stash
Alpha: Lawn Fawn die, Louie's ABCs
Stamps: Uniko, Background builders Triangulate
Ink: SU, sahara sand
Embellishments: Washi from my stash
I hope you've enjoyed my page today and will pop on over to The Memory Nest to check out the pages, and stories behind them, of the rest of the DT. And of course you don't have to make a scrapbook page, cards are just as welcome.
Thanks for your time today, I'm so pleased to have you drop by my blog. And keep crafting!
