Today I'm sharing a card I made with a very old stamp set from way back when. It's going into the challenge at Inkspirational as it's definitely an oldie but goodie.
A really simple CAS card just the way I love them!
Not a lot to say about how it was made - I think it's just that simple! But the stamp comes from a set of 25 rubber stamps contained in a CD box and the company was called See-D's. Bet some of you have got some of their sets stashed away and weren't they good value? And it still stamps as clear as the day I bought it.
Supplies:
Stamps: See-D's, Garden of Friendship
Ink: SU, berry burst
Well my thanks for your visit is much much bigger than my post for today, please come see me again soon.
And keep crafting!

Sunday Stuff
When I saw the lovely sketch over at CAS Colours & Sketches I couldn't resist using it. So now I'm playing along with their challenge for the first time since stepping down from their DT!
And here's my card:
I started by stamping the flower image and then borrowed Patricia's idea and masked off the three rectangles and applied distress oxide ink.
I removed the mask - big mistake - and coloured the flowers that were within the rectangle strip. Big mistake because I only intended colouring the flowers on the green inking, but got carried away and only just stopped myself from colouring the whole image!
Supplies:
Stamps: Woodware, JGS490; Uniko, Simply aid Birthday
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black; Ranger distress oxide, cracked pistachio
Colours: Copic, Y13, Y18, BV11, BV13, BV17, RV63, RV66, RV69, N1
Huge thanks for visiting my blog today, hope you'll come back again soon. And keep crafting!

When I saw the code word FRIENDS at Addicted to CAS my thoughts went flying to my very neglected LOTV stamps. Knew they were well overdue for some love!
Now in the past the way I've used these stamps is far far away from CAS so that added a whole new layer to this challenge for me. Here's what I came up with:
I started by stamping and colouring this adorable image of the two boys sharing a lemonade - love that they don't have to share the cookie though! Then I stamped the image again and fussy cut, more like fiddly cut, round it to create a mask. I also masked off a a border all round the image.
I then used distress oxide inks to blend the background and flicked some water on top to create the magic. So loving these two colours together and the way the oxide inks are so forgiving if you're a rubbish blender like me!
Supplies:
Stamps: LOTV, retired stamp; Clearly Besotted, Best Friends
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black; Ranger distress xide, faded jeans, cracked pistachio
Promarkers: spice, walnut, henna, raw sienna, terracotta, chestnut, soft green, mint green, tea green, grey green, cool grey 3,4, 5, khaki, ivory, blush, dusky pink, crimson, shale
I'm also going to pop this card into the CASology BUDS Challenge.
I'm so pleased you dropped by my blog today, always great to have such good company. And keep crafting!

Friday Focus
Oh my, is it Friday already? Well I'm off to Ikea today to suss out a new desk/table for my craft room. I have this idea that I need more space to indulge my crafting - well a whole new larger room would be ideal, but I think I'm going to have to settle for just a larger desk!
Anyway before I go I'm sharing this very CAS card I've created for the CASology Challenge with the cue card - BUD.
Now unlike most of the CASology DT my immediate thought was not a bud as in a buddy or friend. No, I just thought of the literal interpretation of a flower bud and reached immediately for the Uniko Pure Florals Lily stamp set.
I simply stamped, added a little colour and shadow and matted it all onto a bought stripy card base. Simples!
Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Pure Florals-Lily
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Colours: Copic, Y00, G40, BV11
So thrilled to have your company today, thanks so much for your time. And keep crafting!

Thursday Thoughts
Oooo, such an interesting challenge going on at Time Out at the moment. As well as the theme of Autumn there's also a twist of speed stamping.
Well I reckon I'm a pretty speedy card maker anyway - it's all the thinking, planning and getting my head together that slows me down! So of course I decided to give it a go:
I gathered all my supplies and created this little card in well under 5 minutes - way to speed stamp, yay!!!
Totally loving these leaf stamps from a newly discovered company for me - Precious Remembrance Shop. I have a wishlist as long as my arm for their stamps, but I got clobbered with custom duty for my last order so it's made me stop and think a bit before ordering again.
Supplies:
Stamps: Precious Remembrance Shop, Fall Colors
Inks: SU, crushed curry, pumpkin pie, real red, baked braown sugar
Paper: scrap from my stash
Huge thanks for your visit to my blog today, I really appreciate your time. And keep crafting!

Wednesday Words
Today I'm playing along with the word prompt WAVE from Inkspirational.
This prompt had me thinking of sea waves and people waving, but a search through my stamp stash sent me in a completely different direction and I used a wavy colour block stamp instead.
I've combined an older and a brand new Clearly Besotted stamp set and chose a trio of pink inks from Stampin Up.
I was tempted to add some sequins, but decided against it as I wanted to keep this card flat and really post friendly.
Supplies:
Stamps: clearly Besotted, Colour Chameleon, Scrumptious Script
Inks: SU, sweet sugarplum, berry burst, fresh fig; Memento, tuxedo black
Card: SU, fresh fig
That's all from me today, hope you liked what you saw and mega thanks for dropping by. And, of course, keep crafting!

Tuesday Talk
Hi there! I'm here today to share a scrapbook page I've created with the second August sketch from Stuck?!Sketches.
Interesting don't you think? Well I changed up the feminine look of this sketch to match my masculine photos and this is what I came up with:
I also flipped the sketch - actually by accident because I cut the scripty paper on the wrong diagonal and couldn't hack the writing being upside down!
I stamped the circles in place of the flowers from the sketch and added a little brick red ink to link up with the brick arch from the photos.
I used bits from my newly acquired ep Once Upon A Time paper collection - really very princess themed, but the colours worked as did some of the elements and added some journalling along the diagonal too.
Supplies:
Papers: Doodlebug, Dragon Tails; Tim Holtz, scripty paper
Inks: Ranger distress oxide, fired brick; Memento, tuxedo black
Stamps: Precious Remembrance Shop, Positive Thoughts
Embellishments: ep, Once Upon A Time; Freckled Fawn, enamel dots
Thanks so much for dropping by my blog today, come back again soon. And keep crafting!

AAA Cards Challenge #97 - Masking
There's a new challenge starting today at AAA Cards and it's another nice and easy theme that requires no special equipment - MASKING.
The sponsor for this challenge is STAMPlorations and I've used their stamps to create my card:
And I thought I'd include a photo tutoral of how I created my card.
1. I gathered my supplies.
2. I used two pieces of masking paper to mask off a strip near the top of my card base. I'm stingy too and have re-used some masking paper, so that's why it's already all inky!
3. I used a blending tool to add my three colours.
4. I peeled back the top piece of masking paper just a little and stamped the first flower. Good job I was using the misti tool as it didn't stamp perfectly the first time.
5. I re-attached the masking paper strip and covered the flower with a mask too.
6. I stamped the middle flower. Then I peeled back the bottom masking strip and covered the middle flower with a mask and stamped my third flower.
7. I removed all the masking paper and stamped the two sentiment words.
Supplies:
Stamps: Stamplorations, Helenium large & Bold Sentiment Gorgeous
Inks: Ranger distress, blueprint sketch, mermaid lagon, cracked pistachio; Memento, tuxedo black
So this is one way to use masking on a card. Want to see some more ideas? Well then hop on over to the AAA Cards Challenge blog - HERE - and check out all the wonderful DT creations and our Guest Designer Maria's fabulous CAS card. You'll be inspired!
Thanks for visiting my blog today, it's been great to share some of your precious time. And keep crafting!
