Happy Little Stampers April CAS Challenge

Time for a new CAS challenge at Happy Little Stampers and this month we'd like to see CHEVRONS on your cards.

http://www.happylittlestampers.com/

I immediately reached for the HLS Mix Mash stamp set which has three different sized chevron strips. Then I added the new Born To Be Wild zebra stamp into the mix as the markings on zebras remind me of chevrons.

I kept to a simple black and white colour scheme and created this unisex birthday card - always good to get one into my stash that can be used for the fellas.

Supplies:
Stamps: HLS Born To Be Wild & Mix Mash
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black

Now I'm wondering how you'll use chevrons on your CAS cards? Be sure to stop by the rest of the HLS DT blogs to check out their ideas - find the links HERE - you'll be inspired for sure.

Huge thanks for your time today, I'm so pleased you decided to visit my blog.

And keep crafting!

Happy Little Stampers - March CAS Challenge

This month at Happy Little Stampers we have a super theme for the CAS Challenge - HOME.

http://www.happylittlestampers.com/

And I took the theme literally and used a die cut of HOME and made a change of address announcement card.

Once the word was cut I inked over the bottom of it so that it would stand out a little bit more from the white card base. I then stamped, coloured and handcut a house, popped it up on pads and placed it over the 'O' in home.

Supplies:
Stamps: Lawn Fawn, Home Sweet Home
Inks: Ranger distress, cracked pistachio; Memento, tuxedo black
Die: Winnie & Walter, Home cutaway
Pens: Copic, C1, C3, Y18; Promarker, soft green

So how will the word HOME inspire you? Check out the rest of the HLS DT cards - HERE - for loads more ideas.

Thanks for looking today, I'm always pleased to have you visit.

And keep crafting!

Happy Little Stampers - February CAS Challenge

Time for a new CAS Challenge over at Happy Little Stampers and the theme for February - yes you've guessed - HEARTS.

http://www.happylittlestampers.com/

So I chose to keep my colour scheme really simple and opted for the iconic red of Valentine's Day.

The heart is a die cut and I stamped and heat embossed the greeting. The umbrella is an HLS stamp which I added tiny hearts to before hand cutting.

Supplies:
Stamps: HLS, Rainy Days; Uniko, Scattered Hearts
Inks: SU, real red; Mememnto, tuxedo black
Die: Xcut, Homespun hearts

I hope you'll join in and play along with this new HLS Challenge. You can see all the rest of the DT cards HERE - they're all getting really loved up too!

Huge thanks for dropping by today, I really value your time.

And keep crafting!

Happy Little Stampers - CAS Challenge

Hey! I'm kicking off the New Year with my first DT card for the Happy Little Stampers CAS Challenge.

http://www.happylittlestampers.com/

Here's my card:

And what could be more perfect for this theme than the HLS Whimsical Friends stamp set. As the theme is friends I felt needed to stamp more than one elephant so the first one was masked off and its friend added to look like it was just behind the first.

I chose my favourites pinky purples for the blankets and kept the elephants' colours understated and just highlighted in grey. A matching skinny strip of card to ground the elephants and a simple sentiment and I was done.

Supplies:
Stamps: HLS, Whimsical Friends
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black
Pens: Copics, N1, RV63, RV66, RV69

So how will you interpret the theme of FRIENDSHIP? Can't wait to come visit your blogs and find out!  My team mates at HLS CAS have more amazing inspiration to get you kickstarted with this theme and there's a definition of HLS CAS on the challenge blog - HERE. But as this is my first gig with HLS CAS I'll share the definition here on my blog too.

Huge thanks for your time today.  And keep crafting!
