The Memory Nest - Make It Monday 47

A super sketch to kick off September's Challenges at The Memory Nest. This is one that's going to become a staple and be used over and over.

http://thememorynest.blogspot.com/2015/09/make-it-monday-no-47.html

And my page just flew together!

I immediately knew I was going to use some of the horizontal strips for journalling and just spaced them out a little more than in the sketch and cut them into arrows pointing at the photos.

I'm so pleased I remembered to add the date - I'm a bit lazy about this and then have to look on the computer.

Supplies:
Paper: Collage Press, Grayson Hall Collection; scraps from my stash
Alphas: Lawn Fawn, Louie's ABCs; Simple Stories, Say Cheese
Sticker: Simple Stories, Say Cheese
Punch: Martha Stewart, heart

Go check out the rest of the DT creations - here - and then it's over to you. Looking forward to seeing your pages.

AAA Cards #48 Autumn Colours

Well we already seem to be well into September so today's new challenge at AAA Cards reflects the quickly approaching Autumn change in colours we are starting to see out and about.

http://aaacards.blogspot.com/2015/09/game-48-autumn-colours.html

There is an extra little twist to this challenge - to use fabric - yikes!   But actually it wasn't as tricky as I thought and my card does have the fabric twist and I'm quite smitten by this idea now.

And as it has fabric it just had to have stitching too!

Supplies:
Stamps: Clearly Besotted, sentiment from Pretty Petals Plus
Ink: Memento, espresso truffle
Dies: Spellbinders, petite scalloped circles small; Clearly Besotted, Journal It; Xcut, spiro circles
Embellishments: Fabric scrap, button & twine from my stash

I do love Autumnal colours and really think it's my favourite season. Can't wait to see all your beautiful cards popping up in the gallery. Do check out the rest of the DT cards - here - they are just fabulous!

So pleased to have you visit my blog today, thank you!

And keep crafting!

CAS Colours & Sketches #141

A pretty little scene for this week's sketch challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches. What will you do with it I'm wondering?

http://cascoloursandsketches.blogspot.com/2015/09/challenge-141-sketch.html

Well as you can see I stuck pretty much to the elements given on the sketch. I do so love to see a row of flowers and it seemed so right to have the sun shining down on them. I'm probably trying to compensate for the lack of sunshine we've had this summer in the UK.

I have given a slight nod to the approaching Autumn with my colour choices though. Each flower has slightly different markings - which is your favourite?

The flower stems were hand drawn - scary! And I'm having to say thank you to so many people at the moment it's beginning to be a bit of a theme in my current card making.

Supplies:
Stamps:Uniko, Flower Power #7; Clearly Besotted, Say It In Style; SU, So You
Inks: SU, watermelon wonder, crushed curry
Promarkers: tulip yellow, soft peach, peach, burnt orange, marsh green
Die: Lil'inker, stitched mats rectangles

Thanks for visiting my blog today, it's much appreciated. And keep crafting!

CAS Colours & Sketches #140

Hello and welcome to CAS Colours & Sketches first September challenge. And some absolutely beautiful colours chosen by Lizy.

Sugared almonds comes to my mind, how about you?

I needed a thank you card to give to all the wonderful staff at the home where my dad has been having respite care while we've been away on holiday and these colours look so pretty together.

A sprinkle of gorgeous grunge got me started, then I stamped and fussy cut the Uniko flowers and leaves. The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted and I thought its spotty shabby look blended really well with the other elements.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Beautiful Blooms II; SU, Gorgeous Grunge; Clearly Besotted, Thank You
Inks: SU, pink pirouette, rose red, mint macaron

Remember there's loads more fantastic inspiration over at the CC&S blog and this month we have the wonderful talent of Biggi joining us as Guest Designer - you're going to love her cards!

Thanks for dropping by today. And keep crafting!

The Male Room #18

The first September Challenge at The Male Room starts today. And it's a very seasonal harvest theme of fruit.

http://themaleroomchallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/

I needed a project life card for my album and used the only fruity stamps I have in my stash.

I love making project life cards and feel able to layer them up and cram bits in and still think they're CAS enough to fit my passion for neat and tidy.

And that sentiment is just so right!

Supplies:
Stamps: Clearly Besotted, An Apple A Day; Molly blooms, stitching
Ink: SU, real red; Memento, bamboo leaves
Other: washi tape from my stash

And here's a peep at the whole page all finished.

Thanks for you time today. Be sure to check out what our Guest Designers and the rest of the DT have come up with - here.

And keep crafting!

The Memory Nest

Something a bit different this month. Leslie, from The Memory Nest, is sponsoring the challenge at
2 Crafty Girls so her Make It Monday DT are joining forces with them and using their September's inspiration board to make a card.

http://thememorynest.blogspot.com/2015/08/2-crafty-girls-challenge-6.html

So I've tried to use all three elements from the board, although this is not a requirement.

I took the colours and the tree from the photo, added some bokeh and used the layout from the sketch.

I used the eraser from the end of a pencil to make my bokeh circles and then smudged them a bit after stamping.

Supplies:
Stamps: Clearly Besotted, Design A Tree
Inks: Memento, rich cocoa, bamboo leaves, pear tart, dandelion; SU, whisper white
Die: Lil'inker, stitched mats rectangles

Thanks for looking today, hope you'll be inspired to play along and maybe win a prize.

And keep crafting!
