Uniko - Introducing Background Builders Triangulate

Hey and welcome to the second Uniko September release introduction. It's another addition to the popular Background Builders series and is all about triangles.

http://unikostudio.blogspot.com/2015/09/introducingbackground-builders.html

I'm thinking the title of this set kinda gives it away really and you're bound to have an idea of what's in store. Along with its geometric qualities it also has a tribal feel to it. Both of which are still on trend within the paper crafting world.

And here's my showcase card:

I kept it simple and I hope striking, just adding a sentiment from the same set as I introduced yesterday - here.

Hope you like my colour combo! I was aiming for smart, masculine and trendy.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Background Builders Triangulate, All Occasion Sentiments #6
Inks: SU, night of navy, crushed curry
Die: Spellbinders, classic square large

Don't forget there are prizes to be won. Places to join in on the fun & possibly win a prize are by commenting along the way on the Uniko Blog, Design Team Blogs, liking the Uniko Facebook Page, following on Twitter and Pinterest! For all the details check here.

Thanks for visiting today, your time is much appreciated. And keep crafting!

Uniko - Introducing All Occasion Sentiments #6

At last I get to show you how I've used one of the fabulous new stamp sets in Uniko's September release. Today it's the turn of All Occasion Sentiments #6.

http://unikostudio.blogspot.com/2015/09/introducing-all-occasion-sentiments-6.html

I'm such a fan of this series and have mentioned to Bev that I'd like more at every opportunity, so I'm especially delighted to be sharing this set with you today. This bold 'thanks' is so up my street and I know it's going to keep on and on appearing from now on!

I had this idea to triple stamp it buzzing round in my head for days while I was waiting for the set to arrive and I'm so thrilled that it actually worked. I stamped onto an all over sticky note and fussy cut each letter to use as a mask - a bit of a fiddle, but now it's done and I can simply re-use them in the future.

I used a tiny floral stamp from Background Builders Vines to fill in each of the top letters, matted the whole thing onto shocking pink card and left it at that to let the stamp set do the talking! And it does it so well!

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, All Occasion Sentiments #6, Background Builders Vines
Inks: SU, melon mambo,; Memento, dandelion, tuxedo black

So that's the first Uniko introduction done. Still plenty more to come the rest of this week and of course all my fellow teammies have gorgeous creations to share too. Find all their links and the ways to win prizes - here.

Thanks for your company today, such fun! Be sure to come back tomorrow for the second introduction.

And keep crafting!

The Male Room #19

A new challenge starts today at The Male Room and I can guarentee this one will get you being inventive!

http://themaleroomchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2015/09/challenge-19-colours.html

I immediately reached for my highlighter pens, just about the only thing in my stash that could be called neon.

I knew this was going to be a bold card and decided early on that I wanted a sentiment to be the focal point showcased against the bright highlighter colours. So I started my card with bold stripes in three colours.

As you can see I coloured the candles with the highlighters too - with only partial success I'm thinking. And overall the colours are much more vibrant in real life.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Big & Bold Wish
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Highlighters: Stabilo Boss
Die: Lil'inker, stitched mats rectangles

I expect like me you're keen to see what the rest of the DT have created, so go check it out - here.

Thanks for your time today. And keep crafting!

The Memory Nest - Make It Monday 47

A super sketch to kick off September's Challenges at The Memory Nest. This is one that's going to become a staple and be used over and over.

http://thememorynest.blogspot.com/2015/09/make-it-monday-no-47.html

And my page just flew together!

I immediately knew I was going to use some of the horizontal strips for journalling and just spaced them out a little more than in the sketch and cut them into arrows pointing at the photos.

I'm so pleased I remembered to add the date - I'm a bit lazy about this and then have to look on the computer.

Supplies:
Paper: Collage Press, Grayson Hall Collection; scraps from my stash
Alphas: Lawn Fawn, Louie's ABCs; Simple Stories, Say Cheese
Sticker: Simple Stories, Say Cheese
Punch: Martha Stewart, heart

Go check out the rest of the DT creations - here - and then it's over to you. Looking forward to seeing your pages.

AAA Cards #48 Autumn Colours

Well we already seem to be well into September so today's new challenge at AAA Cards reflects the quickly approaching Autumn change in colours we are starting to see out and about.

http://aaacards.blogspot.com/2015/09/game-48-autumn-colours.html

There is an extra little twist to this challenge - to use fabric - yikes!   But actually it wasn't as tricky as I thought and my card does have the fabric twist and I'm quite smitten by this idea now.

And as it has fabric it just had to have stitching too!

Supplies:
Stamps: Clearly Besotted, sentiment from Pretty Petals Plus
Ink: Memento, espresso truffle
Dies: Spellbinders, petite scalloped circles small; Clearly Besotted, Journal It; Xcut, spiro circles
Embellishments: Fabric scrap, button & twine from my stash

I do love Autumnal colours and really think it's my favourite season. Can't wait to see all your beautiful cards popping up in the gallery. Do check out the rest of the DT cards - here - they are just fabulous!

So pleased to have you visit my blog today, thank you!

And keep crafting!
