The Memory Nest - Make It Monday Challenge #54

Hello and welcome to the second Make It Monday sketch from The Memory Nest.

http://thememorynest.blogspot.com/2016/01/make-it-monday-no-54.html

Well this one had me thinking! Then I had a light bulb moment and realised it would be perfect for my final round up of the year page in my 2015 album.

I made three little collages each containing four photos - one favourite from each month of the year.

I'm loving how all the arrows from the sketch give movement and guide your eye round the page.

As this sketch is already quite busy I kept the embellishments minimal - in fact just one stamped heart.

Supplies:
Ppaers: Bazzill Basics; AC, Nightfall; ep, Times & Seasons
Alphas: Freckled Fawn, puffy alphabet stickers; Lilybeedesigns, numbers
Dies: Lawn Fawn, large stitched circle stackables; Xcut, homespun Hearts

If you're like me you'll be keen to see what the rest of the DT did with this sketch - go see here.

Thanks for your time today, I'm so pleased you dropped by.

And keep crafting!

AAA Cards Challenge #58 - Sequins

The new challenge at AAA Cards asks for the use of sequins - well that's easy then! And there's a fabulous $20 gift certificate from Happy Little Stampers up for grabs - well that's even better!

http://aaacards.blogspot.com/2016/02/game-58-sequins-challenge.html

And I kept my card really easy too! I simply added a horizontal strip of sentiment card and twine with sequins dotted along and around them.

Sometimes the easiest things are the most satisfying - why complicate life!

Supplies:
Sequins: Lucy's cards, Starshine
Card & twine from my stash

Go see what the rest of the AAA Cards DT have created and then get going yourself. Remember to keep it CAS!

Saturday Slot

And another card for a challenge today. This one is for Happy Little Stamper's Christmas Challenge using a tic tac toe board.

http://www.happylittlestampers.com/2016/02/hls-february-christmas-challenge.html   http://www.happylittlestampers.com/2016/02/hls-february-christmas-challenge.html

I was looking for an image to colour so that I could take part in the The Daily Marker's 30 day colouring challenge on instagram and found these oh so cute Christmas elephants at Digi Stamp Boutique.

I followed the line from top left to bottom right - pink, sentiment, red - and kept my card to one layer and very CAS.

I sparkled up the stars and the furry parts of the hats with a covering of Wink of Stella.

Supplies:
Stamps: Digi Stamp Boutique, Christmas Edwin and Hetty; Clearly Besotted, sentiment from Little Elves
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Pens:Promarkers, cool grey 1 & 2, baby pink, crimson; Sakura, gelly roll white
Embellishments: Wink of Stella, clear

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today, I'm always appreciative of your time.

Friday Focus

Phew! Finally found some time to search out a few challenges and create just for the sheer hell of it!
Today it's a CASE card for the CASEplorations challenge at STAMPlorations.

http://stamplorations.blogspot.co.uk/2016/02/caseplorations-february.html

Oh wow! Such a gorgeous card from the talented Anita in France. A bit daunting as I've long been an admirer of her creativity. But my word for 2016 is FEARLESS so here's my version:

I was so loving the line of hearts and the gradual shading of the ink from pink through orange to yellow that was the first thing I wanted to pick up on.

Then I remembered this fabulous scripty wish sentiment and the idea of using stars was born. I stamped it to echo the colours of Anita's love sentiment.

Supplies:
Stamps: Creat A smile, Make a Wish; Clearly Besotted, Superstar
Inks: SU, daffodil delight, tangelo twist, melon mambo; Memento, tuxedo black

I'm so pleased you stopped by my blog today, huge thanks.  And keep crafting!

CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #160

It's sketch week over at CAS Colours & Sketches and I'm sure you're going to enjoy working with this beauty.

http://cascoloursandsketches.blogspot.com/2016/02/challenge-160-sketch.html

So I was well impressed when I remembered this Clearly Besotted stamp set with its cluster of three flowers - perfect!

I chose the sentiment because it had a matching polka dot background. And a couple of colours a little bit different for me.

Supplies:
Stamps: clearly Besotted, A Little Something, Thank You
Inks: SAU, soft suede, crisp cantaloupe
Embellishments: Hobby House, pearls chocolate heaven

Remember to check out the rest of the CAS Colours & Sketches DT cards and I'll look forward to seeing your cards popping up in the gallery.

Uniko - February Release Day & Blog Hop

Here we go! Happy 4th birthday Uniko!

At last it's time to reveal the complete Uniko February release and a chance to win it all!

I've got four cards to share with you today, each one using one of the new release sets at its centre. First up is the gorgeous Beautiful Blooms III.

I combined it with a sentiment from All Occasion Sentiments #6 and heat embossed the flower outline and the final markings of both the flower and leaves.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Beautiful Blooms III, All Occasion Sentiments #6
Inks: SU, wild wasabi; Ranger distress, shaded lilac, scattered straw; Versamark
Embossing: Stampendous, white

Card 2 invites you to share a cup of tea with me - wouldn't that be fun?

I stamped and coloured the tea cup and then masked it out to stencil the spotted background. This was inspired by a tablecloth at a favourite tea room near my village.

Supplies:
Stamps:Uniko, I Love Tea
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black; SU, marina mist, regal rose, pistachio pudding
Die: Lil'inker, stitched mats rectangles
Stencil: Stamposaurus
Promarker: ivory

Card 3 is what I like to call a modern take on the Valentine/love theme that all over blogland at the moment.

I combined that 'go to' set Simply Said with the camera film roll from Strike A Pose and then matted it onto hot pink. Striking and in your face was what I was aiming for - do you think I achieved it?

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Simply Said, Strike A Pose
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black, bahama blue, pear tart, rose bud

My final card uses that oh so cute bunny and this time I've gone with an Easter theme.

I die cut an egg shape and stamped the sentiment and tiny hearts onto it. The bowtie picks up on the vertical banner's colour.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Some Bunny
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black
Card: scraps from my stash
Promarkers: vanilla, raw sienna, terracotta, grey green
Die: Spellbinders, petite ovals large

Well that's the end of my sample cards and now on to the bit you've been waiting for - the blog hop and chance to win the entire release. As it's Uniko's 4th birthday today the DT have been joined by some past DT members to make this blog hop even more exciting. Here's the order:

Jane - that's me

Happy hopping and good luck, hope it's you that wins!

Uniko - Intoducing Some Bunny

Today sees the last of the Uniko February Release introductions and it's a super cute stamp set that will get your 'ahhhh' factor racing!

http://unikostudio.blogspot.co.uk/

Now I know this screams Easter, but I decided to make a more general themed card - maybe for a new baby or Valentine's Day or just as a surprise to drop into a loved one's lunch box.

And going with the theme of love I stamped the tiny heart included in this set three times on the bunny.

Bet he's got your 'cute' button well and truly pressed!

Supplies:
Stamps:Uniko, Some Bunny
Inks: SU, night of navy
Dies: Lawn Fawn, large stitched circle stackables; Spellbinders, standard circles small

Want to win a prize? Leave a comment here as a start to your quest, then get on over to the other places where there's a chance to win - check out the details at Uniko.

Thanks for looking today, your time is greatly appreciated.

And keep crafting!
