Uniko Revisit - Stunning Snowflakes

After the fabulous Uniko release last month Bev and the DT are revisiting a previously released set in December. And it's one that's ideal for Christmas, Winter or New Year cards.

For my first card I started by stamping and heat embossing the three sizes of my favourite snowflake from the set. I then sponged distress ink all over in three different colours.

Next I stamped a snowflake and sentiment onto a piece of scrap white card and adhered it across the bottom.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Stunning snowflakes
Inks: Ranger Distress, mermaid lagoon, wilted violet; SU, real red; Versamark + Stampendous clear embossing powder

My second card features the other two snowflake designs included in this set and I combined them with the Big & Bold Snow set that mixes and matches so well.

I made a diagonal fall from top to bottom to frame the sentiment which I stamped straight across the middle. A scattering of sequins just finished it all off a treat.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Stunning snowflakes & Big & Bold Snow
Inks: SU, night of navy, pool party; Memento, pear tart
Sequins from my stash

My final card is just so CAS and really allows the beauty of the snowflake shine out.

And I couldn't resist making a couple more of this design using different colours.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Stunning Snowflakes
Inks: Hero Arts Ombre, pool to navu & pink to red; Memento, grape jelly

Well that's me done for today, but of course there's loads more fantastic inspiration to be found by hopping round the rest of the Uniko DT blogs - find all the links below. Not to mention the chance of winning a prize by leaving a comment as you go. Here's the order:

Thanks for your time today and good luck with the blog hop comments prize draw.  And I'm sending you all Christmas sparkle too!

Let's December Daily - Days 6-9

Today at Let's December Daily I'm sharing my pages for days 6 to 9. Here's a little taster of what's there:
 Day 6

Want to find out what the story is? Scroll on down and let me explain!

 Day 7

Day 8
 Day 9

Day 6 - the story!

Well the plan was to put up all the outside decorations on the 5th - but that didn't happen! Instead we spent the afternoon in A&E keeping my son and grandson company. He'd (grandson) had a bit of a mishap on a slide on the 4th and couldn't put his left foot down. Turns out there was a fracture.

Too dark by the time we got home and I was going on a shopping trip with a friend on the 6th, then child minding duties for the following three days - it was looking like bad news for the decorations. So I got up extra early on the 6th to sort them out before I had to leave for the train. And boy was it damp, foggy and cold that early in the morning, my fingers were completely numb by the time I'd finished.

And in case you're wondering why my husband didn't do them, he's still recovering from a back operation, but he did allow me to lean on him as I tottered up the step ladder! A glass of wine was very much appreciated at lunch time!

Possibly the tallest tree I've ever seen at the outdoor ice rink - and no I didn't skate!

Thanks for visiting my blog today, I hope you'll find time to pop over to Let's December Daily too.

And I'm sending you Christmas sparkle!

CAS Colours & Sketches #203

The last CAS Colours & Sketches challenge for 2016 begins today and we'd like you to choose a previously used sketch from this year and make it seasonal.

http://cascoloursandsketches.blogspot.com/2016/12/challenge-203-seasonal-sketch.html

I had in mind a stamp I wanted to use so went looking for a sketch that would showcase it and came up with this one from way back in February.

And here's my card:

Such a fun and gorgeous stamp, don't you think? I love its whimsical look. And added with a couple of strips of washi it was possibly one of the easiest cards I've made recently. Nice and flat to go into the mail too.

Supplies:
Stamps: Wonky Tonk, Joy To The World
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black
Promarkers: crimson, dusky rose, cinnamon, tan
Washi: SU, Candy Cane Lane

So which sketch from 2016 will you pick? Can't wait to see. We're also introducing the other three of new Design Team this week - they're bound to have brilliant inspiration for you! Go check it all out at CC&S here.

Huge apprecaition goes to you for visiting my blog when I know you're all so busy. And I'm sending Christmas sparkle!

The Male Room - #50 December Celebrations

Hello and welcome. Today I'm here to share my DT card for the new challenge at The Male Room. No prizes for guessing the theme!

http://themaleroomchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2016/12/challenge-50-theme.html

And I went with a fairly traditional Christmas theme, but more modern colours.

The star is stamped and heat embossed onto black card stock with three different metallic colours. I love how this looks, so I also did the sentiment the same way.

I die cut the black card and some holographic golden card with stitched dies - a real sparkly shiny feast for the eyes!

Supplies:
Stamps: Star - unknown, think it was a mag freebie; Inky Doodles, sentiment from Christmas Jumpers
Inks: Versamark
Embossing: Honey Doo Crafts, silver sparkle, golden glamour, copper classic
Die: Lil'inker, stitched mats rectangles

I'm wondering what your chosen celebration is for December and so looking forward to seeing what you create. Pop on over to The Male Room to check out the rest of the DT's wonderful inspiration and then it's over to you.

I rally appreciate your visit to my blog at this busy time of year, huge gratitude. And I'm sending you Christmas sparkle!

The Memory Nest - Make It Monday Challenge #77

Today I'm sharing my DT page for the new challenge that just starting over at The Memory Nest.

http://thememorynest.blogspot.com/2016/11/make-it-monday-no-77.html

And how long ago does Halloween seem now I'm in the midst of Christmas preparations and my Let's December Daily album!

This was my youngest grandson's first real taste of trick or treating and he got really excited about all the children coming to knock at his door.

I'm really pleased that I put my Halloween stamps to good use on this page - using stamps on pages more often is something I intend to address next year.

I chose to put the TREAT part of the title in larger alphas as he melted my heart in this pic and does look an absolute cute treat himself!

Supplies:
Stamps: SU, gorgeous grunge; Clearly Besotted, Halloween Spirit
Inks: Ranger distress, wilted violet
Alphas: Simple Stories, So Rad
Stickers: Simple Stories, So Rad

So how will you use this sketch? I'm guessing we may seem some thanksgiving or even Christmas pages popping up in The Memory Nest's gallery. Looking forward to seeing them.

Thanks for your time today and your visit is especially appreciated at this super busy time of year. So I'm sending you Christmas sparkle!
