Happy Little Stampers - September Christmas Challenge

Hi all and welcome to my blog. Today I'm in the mood for Christmas and I'm sharing my DT card for the Happy Little Stampers new Christmas Challenge.

And what's a Christmas card without a bit of sparkle?!

First up I stamped the outline bauble and bow onto bright in your face turquoise cardstock. Then I stamped the solid part of the bauble with versamark and heat embossed it with sparkling snow powder.

I die cut a stitched circle from white cardstock and stamped the greeting. This was then placed over the turquoise bauble card and my card was done.

Supplis:
Stamps: Uniko, Christmas Sparkle
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black; Versamark, clear
Embossing: WOW!. Sparkling Snow
Die: MFT Die-namics, Inside/Out Stitched Circles

So how will you make your card sparkle? Or will you just play along with a Christmas card and not use the twist? To help you decide maybe a peek at the rest of the HLS DT cards would be a good idea? Of course it would! Find them all HERE.

Enormous thanks for dropping by my blog today, I really appreciate sharing some of your precious time.  And keep crafting!

AAA Cards Challenge #98 - Creatures Great Or Small

A new month only just started and a new challenge over at AAA Cards.  And it's a good one with lots of scope for different types of CAS cards.

http://aaacards.blogspot.com/2017/09/cas-game-98-creatures-great-or-small.html

I've used a digi stamp and managed to get both a great and some small creatures onto my card. I masked off the elephant, popped a stencil over the bottom half of the card and brushed ink all over.

I added a strip of washi to define the halfway line, coloured the image and stamped a sentiment.

I added a trio of enamel shapes and I was done.

Supplies:
Stamps: Digi Stamp Boutique, Edwin & Flowers
Inks: Ranger distress oxide, wilted violet, worn lipstick
Stencil: TCW, mini webbing
Pens: Promarkers, cool grey 1 & 2, blossom, purple
Embellishments: Washi from my stash; SU, enamel shapes, sweet sugarplum

Ok now it's time to big up the rest of the AAA Cards DT's amazing creations using creatures - check them all out HERE. Oh and we have the most beautifully cute card to make you go ahhh! from our Guest Designer Marge from margecrafts. A visit to her blog is a fabulous way to while away some time.

Great - and small - thanks for dropping by my blog today. I've loved sharing it with you.

And keep crafting!

Saturday Slot

There are a few back to school themed challenges going on at the moment and I've decided to play along with the colours from Color Throwdown which are very bright and vibrant and priamary school influenced. I'm also playing along with Addicted to Stamps And More's Make Your Mark theme. What could be more appropriate than the mix of colouring and school?

http://colorthrowdown.blogspot.co.uk/2017/08/color-throwdown-458.html    http://addictedtostamps-challenge.blogspot.co.uk/2017/08/challenge-257-make-your-mark.html

Here's my card:

I started by stamping the quote and chevrons in tuxedo black, then broke out my very under used prisma color pencils and added red, yellow and green to the block letters and shapes. I thought as it was a school influenced card the quote was very appropriate!

My signature strip down the left hand side and a trio of enamel dots just finished off the card nicely.

Supplies:
Stamps: Precious Remembrance Shop, DIY Stamp Set
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black
Colours: Prismacolor pencils
Embellishments: Doodlebug Sprinkles, bumblebee; Simple Stories, Mistletoe Kisses

Thanks so much for looking today, you really made my day.  And keep crafting!

Friday Focus

There's a fabulous new cue word at CASology and I couldn't resist playing along.

http://casology.blogspot.co.uk/2017/08/week-264-square.html

I think it especially appealed to me because of its simplicity and that makes it so much easier to play CAS in my opinion.

This card is the product of another card that went wrong. The ink blended little square was actually the mask I used and looked so appealing it didn't follow the rest of the card into the bin! I simply matted it onto a slightly larger stitched square and then added the die cut hello on top. Super CAS!

Supplies:
Inks: Ranger distress oxide, faded jeans, cracked pistachio
Dies: Spellbinders, classic large squares; Lawn Fawn, large stitched square stackables; Clearly Besotted, hello

Huge appreciation goes to you for looking at my blog today, it was wonderful to have your company for a while.  Come back soon.

And keep crafting!
