Two more Christmas cards to share today - my box is getting quite full now. I was inspired by Beverley from Uniko Studio when making my first card. She's had some cards on her blog that use the flower from Flower Power #1 coloured red to look like poinsettias, so I thought I'd give it a go. I used the layout from CAS Colours & Sketches and liked the idea of one half being sort of the negative of the other. I used a white gel pen to colour the middle of the leaves on the bottom cluster to immitate the open poinsettias.
When I was putting this card together I really liked how it looked even before the flowers were added, so my second card picked up on this. I love how trying one thing can spark ideas for another. I think the first card is more traditional and the second a more modern twist. And I can't believe how many Christmas cards I've made without any glitter - must definitely rectify this soon!
