I had great fun last night making the card I'm sharing today, got a bit messy too - not usually keen on that. I used the layout from CAS(E) this sketch as a starting point.
I read about the technique I used for the background of my card here and then followed the link to Jennifer McGuire's blog where there's a great video about how to do it. Also picked up a couple of other tips in this video too, she's just so talented!
So out came my favourite colours and the new Uniko Studio Stunning Snowflakes stamps set. I do love all the snowflakes in this set, but the one I used on this card has to be my favourite - I know this because it's the one I keep putting on the block! I added three hand cut snowflakes - didn't buy the die, silly me - just to give a little more dimension.
Supplies:
Stamps: Unilo Studio, Stunning Snowflakes
Inks: Versamark; Ranger distress ink, chipped sapphire, dusty concord, stormy sky
Embossing: opaque white powder
Mica powder, violet
Washi tape
So this is just one corner of where I went yesterday - Stitchcraft Studio, Grantham. The selection of fabrics is just so overwhelmingly gorgeous and everyone there so friendly and helpful.
And here are my selected bales:
And this is what they looked like after the lengths were cut:
Obviously a Christmas themed project in mind, watch this space! And yes I have completed my last patchwork project. So this:
Has now turned into this:
Thanks for dropping by today.
