Up first is my favourite of the two. I'm loving this new sketch and can see I will return to it many times. I started by stencilling the background square and then stamped diagonals for the two strips. I stitched the square and the strips onto the base card
Then I really had fun. I spread the ink directly from the pads onto my heat mat and mixed them a little in the middle with a water brush. I coated the flower stamp with this mixed ink and stamped it onto card - several times! Just loved this look so much I couldn't stop. And each flower turned out slightly different, but still gorgeous.
I popped one of the flowers onto pads and then finished the card with a chocolate button tied with a gold thread bow. The colours are so pretty together - so pleased to be pushed out of my comfort colours again!
Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko Studio, Beautiful Blooms 1; Clearly Besotted, diagonal stripes
Inks: SU, pool party, tempting turquoise; Memento, rich cocoa
Stencil: Memory Box, mesh
Embellishments: button, gold thread from my stash
So that was my card made for the two challenges, but I still had loads of flowers left over - just had to make another card!
This one is a bit of a variation of my stamp across the middle and then add a large sentiment. And I do love it, just not as much as the first one.
Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko Studio, Beautiful blooms 1, All Occasion Sentiments #1; Clearly Besotted, diagonal stripes
Inks: SU, pool party, tempting turquoise; Memento, rich cocoa
Embellishments: gold gems from my stash
Thank you for looking at my blog today. Hope you'll come back tomorrow for my third Saturday as guest designer at Unscripted Sketches.
