Today's post
The theme at Less is More this week is to use something re-cycled. Not a problem when you're a hoarder like me and can't bear to throw things away.
This week we have
A RECIPE
for you
Use a recycled item!
It can be anything, card, ribbon, paper, metal... anything that has been used before!
So I had these two clothes labels from The White Stuff that were far too pretty to put in the bin and I knew, just knew, that I would be able to use them sometime. Well it seems that time has come, just wish it happened for more of my overflowing stash!
I cut the patterned part of one label and used it to cover unwanted text on the second. Then I wrapped the twine from one label round and trimmed and retied the twine from the other. I found a small stamp that would fit the space and that part of my card was ready to go.
Then I had the idea to use some discarded bubble wrap to stamp a border - another way to re-cycle! I've heard about using bubble wrap but never tried it before. Think it makes an interesting textured looking image and will probably use this technique again.
I die cut the white rectangle with the bubble wrap border, then went searching for some card to match the re-cycled labels. The best match was some paper which I cut to almost fit the base card. Finally all these elements were assembled and stuck in place. A bit of a back to front way to make this card.
Supplies:
Stamp: Clearly Besotted, sentiment from Pretty Petals
Ink: SU, old olive
Die: Lil'inker sticthed mats rectangles
Re-cycled: White Stuff labels, bubble wrap
So pleased you dropped by today - Thank You!!
