For my first card I stamped and heat embossed the chrysanthemum in white and then brushed on some diagonals of colour. I then die cut stitched rectangles from it and also from white cardstock before inlaying them alternately. I sprinkled some water onto the outside section to soften the diagonals a little.

My next card uses my new prisma color pencils and I was thrilled with the deep vibrant colour that can be achieved with them.
I drew three unevenly spaced lines on the left hand side to ground the flower.

My last card was made for a niece's birthday and I chose colours that I knew she loves - ok I know they're sort of my colours too!
I dripped ink onto a baby wipe to get this random arrangement of colours and lucked out that the yellow and purple didn't mix into a muddy brown.

The layout of your second card is funky and the colours beautifully vibrant and I love the technique on your third card, one I've not done for a while. Gorgeous vibrant colours on the second one and how brilliantly clever on the third one and so fortunate that you managed to keep the inks so imaculate without 'muddying' them. Super duper as always. ReplyDeleteStunning array of cards, Jane! This Chrysanthemum set remind me of those that bloomed in my grandmother's garden. Oh, what a green thumb she had; her flowers drew neighbours from all over town, coming by to gaze in wonder. Her Chrysanthemums, especially, were show-stoppers...and your showcases have captured their beauty completely! Thank you for sparking treasured memories (as well as a wish for a garden of my own)...
