AAA Birthday Challenge #40 - Anything Birthday Goes

 Hello!

It's time for the August challenge at AAA Birthday. And it's a really easy one at this busy vacation time of year.

Couldn't be any simpler!

I made this fun and vibrant card for my grandson's 18th birthday.

The zip is a stencil from Funky Fossil, Zip It, and I used some texture paste to add dimension. I then cut round the top curve of the zip and placed some of the awesome Urban Vibes paper behind it.

The guy is from the Zip It Gang stamp set and I popped him onto a piece of folded card so that he wobbles.

I also used the same stencil and stamp set to add the greeting to the inside of the card.

You'll really want to pop over to the AAA Birthday blog to see what the rest of the DT and guest designer Nance have been up to with this free rein theme. Find it HERE.

Thanks so much for your time today, it's been fun to have you visit my blog.

Stay safe & keep crafting!

Uniko July Release - Introducing Paw Prints Hearts & Stencil Scattered Polka Hearts

 Hello

Today's introduction to Uniko's mini July release is one for all you animal lovers.

I used the stencil in a rainbow of colours to create a background - I'm told animals go to the rainbow bridge when they pass. Then I used the same colours to stamps the pawprint to add as the focal image.

Having applied all that ink colour to the stencil I didn't want to waste any so I spritzed it with water and took a mono print.

I then die cut two hearts from the centre and used the rest as a base layer. I love the more subtle look this technique gives and is perfect for a bereavement card.

But this stamp set and stencil is not just for sad occasions. I know lots of owners like to celebrate their pets by showing their love with a card.  I used BIG & BOLD You for the sentiment.

Well that's a wrap for the introductions. Do you have a favourite?

Everything will be in the store tomorrow at 9.00am for you to purchase. I'll have a few more cards to share too, so I hope to see you then.

Thanks for your time today.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

Uniko July Release - Introducing Stencil Tropical Leaf #2

 Hello

Today I'm introducing the most awesome stencil that is part of the Uniko mini July release.

How glorious is that?

I got a bit creative with my first card and inked up a tropical sun and background inside the the stencil. I then added in the hummingbird from Paradise Hummingbird. I created the mix of colours using a wet wipe and ink refills.

Still on the paradise theme I triple inked around the mask that comes with this stencil and popped the toucan from Paradise on top of a stamped leaf cluster.

One more day of introductions left then all the products from this mini release will be in the store at 9.00am on Friday.

Thanks for looking.

Uniko July Release - Introducing Background Blocks Rays

 Hello

It's time for the first day of introductions to Uniko's July release.

And with all the sunshine we've been having recently this stamp couldn't be more timely!

Although my first card above showcases how it can be used not as sunshine. I've paired it up with Just Because and a vibrant red.

My second card makes a perfect pairing with the recently released Sunshine & Rainbows stamp set.

My final card uses an older stamp set - Bee Happy. Well the bees have certainly been happily buzzing around all the clover in my back lawn recently.

Be sure to drop by again tomorrow when I'll be introducing another product from this mini release.

Thanks for looking.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

Merry Monday - Uniko BA Inspiration

Hello!

And welcome to a Merry Monday Christmas post featuring the BIG & BOLD Merry stamp set combined with the In The Forest stencil.

My first card uses a technique from Jennifer McGuire and uses both distress and distress oxide inks.

Lucky clover distress ink was applied straight from the pad to the background, then the stencil was placed over. Water was used to lift some of the ink and then once dry twisted citron and cracked pistachio distress oxide was added through the stencil.

My second card uses the exact same layout but this time the greeting was stamped onto a white die cut square. I then masked off parts of the stencil so that only three or one tree was inked.

Have you started your Christmas cards yet? Maybe one of these ideas might inspire you to get creating. Remember to share anything you make in the facebook group Uniko Ltd or on instagram using #unikoltd. We love to see your creativity.

Thanks so much for looking today.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

AAA Birthday Challenge #39 - Where In The world

 Hello!

It's time for the July Challenge at AAA Birthday.

Your card can be inspired by where you live or somewhere specific like London, New York etc where you'd like to spend your birthday or just a general place you'd like to spend your birthday like snowy, hot, on a cruise, a picnic in the countryside, on a mountain .....

So for my card I went with the UK as we've recently celebrated the 70th Jubilee of the queen.

The image is a digi from Jen Hadfield and perfectly illustrates the UK with the British bulldog and Union Jack flag.

The greeting is from Uniko and I coloured it up in the red, white and blue of the flag.

It's going to be such a fun challenge - a bit like a virtual tour of the world I'm thinking. Go see where the AAA Birthday DT and guest designer Sarah R have visited with their birthday cards - HERE.

Thanks for stopping by at my destination today!

Stay safe and keep crafting!
