AAA Cards Challenge #197 - One Inch Strip + optional twist Coloured Cardbase

A new CAS challenge has just started at AAA Cards.

Using a one inch strip to contain everything on the card front should really help enormously to keep a card CAS.

I opted for the twist of a coloured card base and then die cut a once inch strip from patterned paper.

The paper is from Lavinia and so is the image. The sentiment is from Funky Fossil's Small Print #2.

Supplies:
Stamps: Lavinia, dragon small; Funky Fossil, Small Print #2
Paper: Lavinia Scene Scapes
Ink: Versafine Clair, nocturne
Die: Lil'inker, stitched mats long & skinny rectangles

It would be lovely if you could find time to join in with this challenge. Go visit the blog for more inspiration from the DT and guest designer Janet - HERE.

Thanks so much for dropping by today.

Time For Tea Designs August Challenge Reminder 2 - Mood Board

I'm here today to remind you all about the August challenge at Time For Tea Designs and to share a sweet little card too.

I used some pretty papers from the Brighter Days pad which I thought reflected the colours from the mood board nicely.

I used the Landscape Edge grass die to cut a flowery border at the bottom of my card.

I adore the sweet elephants from Elephantastic and couldn't resist adding one under the fabulous Big Hugs die cut sentiment.

Supplies:
Stamps: T4TD, Elephantastic + dies
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black
Pens: Copic, C0, C1, C3, R20, R29; Sakura white glaze

Do you think you may be playing along with the challenge? Remember you can use the free digis from the T4TD shop to get you started and then who knows maybe you could win the £25 spend that's on offer as one of the prizes.

Thanks so much for looking today, it's been fun to have your company.

Uniko Release In Review

Hey all!

Did you love the Uniko July release? Thought you might have!

Well today the Uniko Brand Ambassadors are taking another look at it and have brilliant inspiration for you.

I decided to use the stencil that I hadn't got inky with during my introductions and release day posts - Squared.

I chose three bright summery colours and let them blend through the stencil. Then I went in with Block Party Summer stamped in black on top.

I really liked how that looked so for my second card I repeated the process but used Doodle Flowers on top instead.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Block Party Summer, Doodle Flowers
Stencil: Uniko, Squared
Inks: Memento, rose bud, dandelion, bahama blue; Versafine Clair, nocturne

Do be sure to pop on over to the Uniko blog for more inspiration and details of how to win a prize - HERE.

Thanks for your time today, I'm so pleased you visited my blog.

Time For Tea Designs August Challenge Reminder 1 - Mood Board

I'm here today with a reminder about the challenge that is going on over at Time For Tea Designs.

It's an awesome summer themed mood board to inspire your cards. And I've used the bright colours and bee from the photo as the starting point for my card.

I used one of the super cute Bee Happy bees and a couple of papers from the Sweet Summer pad.

The white card is the left over piece from the Smile Inverted Scallop Frame die and the heart is cut from the Slimline Postage Stamp Frame die.

Have you played along with the August Challenge yet? There is a very special Guest Designer - Hannelie - featured over on the challenge blog today. Do pop over and take a look, she has created the most awesome crisp and clean card using T4TD products - HERE.

Altenew Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop

I'm so excited to share the news that AAA Cards, the challenge blog that I'm admin for, has been invited to take part in the Altenew Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop.

Look at all the wonderful challenges that are taking part.

$250 in total prizes! To celebrate this fantastic blog hop, Altenew is giving away $25 gift certificates to TEN lucky winners. Winners will be chosen at random from the comments left on any of the blogs listed on the AAA Cards blog and will be announced on the Altenew blog on September 5th, 2021.

Also five cards selected from the link up will be featured on the Altenew blog on September 5th 2021. Link up your cards at the Altenew Blog Hop page HERE.

As part of this celebration of challenge blogs I was gifted two gorgeous stamp sets from Altenew. Here's what i creatd with them:

I chose my favourite colours for this first card and used both stamps sets - Wildflower Garden & Halftone Happy.

I just adore the simplicity of these florals!

Supplies:
Stamps: Altenew, Wildflower Garden, Halftone Happy
Inks: Memento, pear tart, tuxedo black; Kaleidacolor, berry blaze

My second card also uses both stamp sets, but I went a little out of my comfort zone with the colours and kept it even more CAS to compensate.

I inked up the flower in yellow first then went back in round the edges with the red.

Supplies:
Stamps: Altenew, Wildflower Garden, Halftone Happy
Inks: Memento, bamboo leaves, dandelion, love letter, tuxedo black

Some of the other AAA Cards DT have also joined in with the hop. Go check out all their cards and find out how to win the prizes on the AAA Cards blog - HERE.

Thanks for looking and good luck with winning a prize.

AAA Cards Challenge #196 - Two Quarters + optional twist Favourite Colours

It's time for a new challenge at AAA Cards.

See if you can work out if I've included the optional  twist of Favourite Colours on my card.

Ha! I bet that was not difficult! Pinks and purples are my thing after all, but how about how adventurous I was to add in some yellow to the mix.

I inked up a panel and then, to be on the safe side, I die cut two squares to ensure I definitely had two quarters and a space between them.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Flowery Felines
Inks: Versafine Clair, nocturne; Ranger distress oxide, wilted violet, picked raspberry, squeezed lemonade
Die: Lawn Dawn, stitched squares

We've got the mega talented Trina P guesting with us for this challenge - her card is outstanding of course! But then so are the AAA Cards DT showcase cards for this theme. And it's fun trying to guess whether they've used the optional twist or not.

Huge thanks for stopping by today, it really makes me so happy.

Funky Fossil July Release Tree Dies & Washi

I've still got one more card that I haven't shared using products from the Funky Fossil July release.

Here's the products I used:

Merry & Bright washi

The easiest of cards to create! I simply covered a piece of scrap card with the washi tape and then die cut the trees. I added a strip of washi at the top and bottom and a sentiment from Enchanted Christmas and it was done.

Thanks so much for looking today, it's been a pleasure to have your company for a while.

Funky Fossil Nordic Noel

Hello everyone!

I've another card to share today using the fabulous Nordic Noel from Funky Fossil's July release.

Donna Gray the designer of these stamps put the idea into my head of creating a 3D card with the stamps. And I have to say I agree they lend themselves perfectly to this type of card design.

I prepared the background by stamping some snowflakes from Christmas Characters - one of last year's Christmas sets. And I also used an old Swiss dots embossing folder to crate the illusion of a snowy ground.

Then I had fun colouring and cutting the images and finding places to slot them in so that they could mostly be seen from all angles.

Stamps: Funky Fossil, Nordic Noel, small snowflakes from Christmas Characters
Embellsihments: Funky Fossil, enamel dots
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black; Ranger distress, peacock feathers
Pens: Copic, C0, C1, C3, G17, R20, R29, R59, BG15, BG23, BG34, BG49, BG53, E40, E51, E53,E55,E57; Sakura white gel pen

All the products are now available in the Funky Fossil shop - HERE.

I'm so pleased to have had you visit my blog today, huge thanks for spending some time with me.
