White with 1 - June Challenge

Time for a new challenge at White with 1. And this month it's a bit of a tricky one as the extra colour is Whisper White. So that's white on white! There's also a sketch to use - that's the easier bit.

Here's my page:

Well it had to be a page about my granddaughter didn't it? It was such a lovely few moments when she discovered the photo of herself and kept looking at it and then me - I like to think she maybe recognised herself, but who knows!

As everything is white I felt I needed to add interest with layers, die cuts, punches and 3D embellishments. I stamped quite a few elements in pale grey and cut them out and also made use of embossing folders to add texture.

I also used quite a lot of buttons, enamel dots, pearls and gems as well as a doily cut on my silhouette cameo.

Supplies:
Stamps: uniko, English country Garden Butterflies & Beautiful; Funky fossil, Distressed Elements
Ink: SU, smoky slate
Alphas: Pink Fresh Studio, Just A Little Lovely
Stickers: Cocoa Vanilla, Midnight
Punches: Martha Stewart, flower & heart; Tonic Studio, butterfly; Xcut, corner rounder; ek, bracket edger
Embossing: Cuttlebug, swiss dots
Embellishments: Mini doilies gift from friend Lizzy hill; Oaktree Eleganza, pearls; Buttons, bows, pearl hearts from my stash; Pretty Pink Posh, clear gems; MME Necessities, wooden heart; Silhouette Cameo Store, large doily

Thanks so much for dropping by today, it's been a pleasure to share some of your precious time.

Saturday Spot

Today's share is a card I created for the Christmas Kickstart challenge.

Once again I'm running close to the deadline for a challenge. I've had a bit of an energy spurt after losing interest for a while. But I'm feeling it again now so here's my card:

I used the wreath from Funky Fossil's Joy stamp set and added some tiny red gems over the dots. Super simple, super quick, but with the gems probably not one for the mail.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Joy
Ink: Versafine Clair, nocturne
Colours: Derwent Inktense pncils
Red gems from my stash

Great to have you visit my blog today. Thanks so much for your time.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

I'm here today to remind you about the challenge that's going on at Uniko. It's such an easy Anything Goes theme with the optional twist of Bright & Happy.

A while back I coloured up this rose and then popped it away for future use. Well here it is made up into a card:

I added a birthday greeting and mated it onto a base card and called it done.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Pure Florals Rose, Birthday Wishes
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Colours: Copic, R81, R83, R85, TY03, YG63, YG67; Miya oil pencils

I really hope you'll join in with Uniko's challenge and look forward to seeing how you're inspired by the theme.

Thursday Thoughts

Rainbow is the code word at Addicted to CAS - still very appropriate as we're all still waiting for the rainbow to appear at the end of our troubled times.

My card uses a rainbow of colours and a sweet toadstool home. Don't you just hate it when you hear folks saying they're stuck at home? Surely home is a place where it's a pleasure to be and I much prefer the phrase 'safe at home'.

So here's that card:

I used two Funky Fossil stamp sets - Bees Knees and Scandi Home. I started by stamping the greeting using the tiny dewdrop ink pads from Memento. Then I stamped the toadstool home above it and used Inktense pencils to colour it up in a matching rainbow of colours.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Bees Knees & Scandi Home
Inks: Memento, lady bug, tangelo, dandelion, bamboo leaves, danube blue, grape jelly, lilac posies
Colours: Derwent Inktense pencils

Huge thanks for your time today, I'm so pleased you came to say hello.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

Wednesday Words

Today I'm playing along with the challenge at Less is More.

It's their one layer challenge with the theme of Going Dotty. Here's my card:

I used a couple of older Clearly Besotted stamp sets that seemed to fit the dotty theme perfectly. On the flowers I inked up in yellow and then added a touch of pink to the outer edges. And as this is a one layer card I rounded the bottom right corner with a punch.

Supplies:
Stamps: Clearly Besotted, A Little Something, Thank You
Inks: Memento, bamboo leaves, dandelion, lilac posies, tuxedo black
Punch: Xcut corner rounder

Thanks so much for dropping by today, it's been so fun to have your company.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Furry Friends
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black, rose bud; Ranger distress, brushed corduroy
Stencil: Funky Fossil, Pawprint Background
Pens: Copic, E21, E23

Monday Moment 2

Today I'm sharing a card I created with the colours from the current CAS Colours & Sketches challenge.

They really caught my eye and I actually have all three of them in my ink pad stash.

I already had these stamps out on my craft table with an idea for a different challenge, but as the closing date for CC&S is so close I thought I'd better get on with that card straight away.

Supplies:
Stamps: Clearly Besotted, Petite Baby shower + matching die & Happy Birthday
Inks: SU, coastal cabanna, crushed curry, cherry cobbler; Versafine Clair, nocturne

Thanks so much for looking today, it's been a pleasure to have your company.

Friday Focus

I'm sharing a scrapbook page today inspired by 'It's in my soul' and the photo board at Scrap The Girls.

Here's my page:

Apparently she was so enamoured by this hat that she wanted to wear it to bed. Of course this was not allowed, but the next morning she put it straight on once she woke up. Obviously this hat spoke to her soul! Both of these photos seemed to echo the photos from the mood board too.

I used die cut ephemera from Cocoa Vanilla's Happiness & Wild at Heart to create stacks at the top corners of the photos. the colours were a perfect match for the hat.

Supplies:
Ppaer: Vicki Boutin, Mixed Media
Ephemera: Cocoa Vanilla, Happiness, Wild at Heart
Embellishments: MME Necessities enamel dots; Paperchase, puffy hearts

Huge thanks for dropping by today, it's been great fun having you visit.

Sunday Slot

Today I'm sharing a card I created for the challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches.

Here's my card;

I made a watercoloured background sheet by smooshing three colours of distress ink. Once this was dry I die cut a stitched circle and the horizontal strip and adhered these to the white panel.

I stamped the greeting and grass silhouette from Funky Fossil's In The Meadow on top.

I finished off by matting the panel onto a marine blue card base.

Supplies:
Inks: Ranger distress, picked raspberry, wilted violet, mermaid lagoon; Versafine Clair, nocturne
Card: Papermill Direct, marine blue, super smooth white
Die: Lawn Fawn, large stitched square stackanbles; Lil'inker, stitched mats long & skinny rectangles

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, it's always so much more fun when you do.
