Thursday Thoughts

Today I'm playing along with the STAMPlorations CAS Challenge which has an optional twist of Black & Pink.

So why not a Christmas card?

I started by stamping the corner lines using Funky Fossil's Doodle Borders and then added the sentiment from Festive Phrases. And then my favourite pointy nosed reindeer from Christmas Characters decided to embrace the pink!

So what do you think? Fun or what?

Supplies:
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black, rose bud
Pens: Copic, RV55, RV17

I'm so pleased that you found my blog today, thanks so much for visiting.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

Wednesday Words

The challenges at STAMPlorations have started again and today I'm participating in their CAS challenge.

Well grey and orange and October could only mean one thing!

Yep, a Halloween card! I decided to use a mandarin orange card background and first inked up the Mason Jar stencil from Funky Fossil with two tones of grey oxide inks. I kept this stencil in place and put the Crooked Webs on top and used the lighter of the greys to add some webs. I then finished off with a layer of Spiders using the darker grey.

I die cut a sentiment and matted the mandarin orange card onto a slate grey base card.

Supplies:
Stencils: Funky Fossil, Mason Jar, Crooked Webs, Spiders
Inks: Ranger distress oxide, pumice stone, hickory smoke
Die: Frantic Stamper, Scary Words
Card: Papermill Direct, mandarin orange, slate grey

Thanks so much for spending some time looking at my blog today, I really appreciate it.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

Friday Focus

Today I'm playing along with the CAS Challenge at STAMPlorations.

Well with purple in the mix it would seem rude not to join in!

I'm continuing my plan to overcome my fear of vellum and used alcohol inks to colour up the background before running the panel through a flowery embossing folder. I then wrapped it around the white card topper.

I then heat embossed the flower from Uniko and hand cut it. I coloured the petals on the back of the vellum and the centre on the front as well as the back to get a bit of colour depth variation. I finished it all off with a sentiment from Uniko.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Fun Flowers, Anniversaire Arts Decoratif
Inks: Versamark clear + WOW! opaque bright white embossing powder; Versafine Clair, nocturne; Ranger slcohol, purple twilight, raspberry, silver
Embossing: Cuttlebug folder
Pen: Copic, V17

Thanks so much for dropping by today, it's always so much more fun when I get visitors.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

Monday Moment

Today I'm sharing a card I created for the CAS challenge at STAMPlorations.

The greeting was added below the strip and my card was done!

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Scandi Garden
Ink: Versafine Clair, Fantasia

It's been a pleasure to have your company for a while today, thanks so much for visiting.

Monday Moment

Today I'm sharing a card I created for the CAS Challenge at STAMPlorations.

Now yellow is not really my colour, but I decided if I was going to use it I might as well go overboard!

I chose the very cute little koalas from Tracy Hey's daughter Georgia. This stamp set was designed as a fund raiser for WIRES, a charity to help out with the Australian wildlife after the recent bush fires.

I think the sentiment is also very relevant for the strange times we're living in at the moment too. Aren't we all looking forward to the time when we hug and hold our families who live away from our homes?

Supplies:
Stamps: Georgia Hey, Hug It Out
Ink: Versafine Clair, nocturne
Card: Papermill Direct, daffodil
Colour: Miya oil pencils

I'm so pleased you dropped by my blog today, thanks so much for your time.

Keep safe, stay home and craft instead!

Monday Moment

Today I'm sharing a card I created to play along with the STAMPlorations March CAS Challenge.

Here's my card:

I started by creating a little background interest with the Dotty Frame stencil from Funky Fossil. I used a Stampin Up ink, soft sky, to include the optional colour twist.

I then stamped the stretching cat from Cattitude and decided as some of the blue spots showed through from the stencil I might as well go the whole hog and colour the cat up blue too! I used my Copic pens and added a little light beige into the colour mix too.

I finished off by stamping the paw prints and greeting from the same Funky Fossil stamp set. Don't you just love this rather superior expression on his face?

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Cattitude
Inks: SU, soft sky; Memento, tuxedo black
Pens: Copic, B12, E50

Thanks so much for dropping by today, I really appreciate you taking the time.

Keep safe, stay home and craft!

Wednesday Words

I found a challenge that I couldn't resist and manged to carve a little time to create while my granddaughter was sleeping. So today I'm playing along with STAMPlorations CAS December Challenge.

Here's my card:

I used the very beautiful STAMPlorations Blossom Spray #2 stamped off the edge of the left hand side of the card. I then coloured it using my Copic pens in the three given Christmas colours from the inspiration pic.

The greeting is from Uniko's BIG & BOLD Happy and I simply matted it all on to a white card base with a narrow border all round. Bit of a go to format for me.

Supplies:
Stamps: STAMPlorations, Blossom Sparay #2; Uniko, BIG & BOLD Happy
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Pens: Copic, Y18, Y38, G17, G28, R17, R27, R29, R39

Huge thanks for looking today, it's always so much more fun for me when you do.

And keep crafting!
