Saturday Spot

Today I'm playing along with the challenge at Time Out. Their photo inspiration pic really caught my eye.

I just love the vibrancy of the aqua and yellow combo and those picture frames also spoke to me.

I stamped the Uniko bloom in yellow and then went in with Miya oil pencils and a Copic marker to add some extra definition.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Beautiful Blooms I, sentiment from Just Because
Inks: Memento, dandelion; Versafine Clair, nocturne
Colurs: Copic, Y18; Miya oil pencils
Dies: Uniko, Beautiful Blooms I; Lawn Fawn, stitched scalloped rectangle frames

I'm so pleased you found my blog today, thank you for dropping by.

And keep crafting!

Happy Little Stampers - March CAS Challenge

Don't you just love it when a challenge theme is really helpful? Well the new one at Happy Little Stampers CAS Challenge is a real gift - who doesn't like to use a favourite technique!

Well of course the difficulty here lies in choosing a technique when there are so many, but currently I adore the effect of alcohol inks on yupo paper and that's where I began.

Having created the magical mix that alcohol inks produce I decided to stay on the same theme with my image. I stamped, coloured and hand cut the dragon and then added a sentiment on a banner.

Supplies:
Stamps: MFT, Magical Friends
Inks: Ranger Alcohol, sunshine yellow, raspberry, pool; Memento, tuxedo black
Pens: Copic, BG11, BG32, BG0000, V01, V15, Y11, E0000, E42, YG03, RV000; Wink of Stella, clear

How about you? What are your favourite techniques at the moment? I'm really looking forward to finding out and maybe discovering some new ones to try out.

Huge thanks for your time today, I'm really pleased you spent some of it visiting my blog.

And keep crafting!

AAA Birthday Challenge #11 - Flowers

Are you ready to increase your stash of birthday cards? Then how about joining in with the new challenge that's started today at AAA Birthday?

Flowers have got to be a favourite image for many crafters and it certainly is one of my go to for birthday cards.

I used the very gorgeous Beautiful Inside and Out stamp from Funky Fossil and some hot oranges and yellows to colour it up. Once that panel was double matted I then decided to make an extra frame using the same stamp around the edges, but this time I left it uncoloured.

Supplies:
Inks: SU, early espresso
Card: Papermill Direct, cocktail daquiri, mocha brown
Pens: Copic, Y18, Y38, R27, R29, R39, G94, G99

How about some more inspiration? Pop on over to the AAA Birthday blog and check out what the rest of the DT and our Guest Designers Dhruvika (Cardogram) and Tasha have created to inspire you. Find it all HERE.

Thanks for looking today, I love it when I have company.

And keep crafting!

AAA Cards Game #160 - Maxi white space + optional twist Metallic

A new challenge has just started at AAA Cards and it's theme is to keep as much empty white space as possible on your CAS card.

The sponsor for this challenge is Pink & Main and I've used one of their stamps on my DT card. The twist didn't appeal, but as it's optional there is no obligation to use it.

And we could certainly do with a bit of sunshine here in the UK at the moment! I coloured this little image with Miya oil pencils and just added a bit of shadow round the sentiment too.

Supplies:
Stamps: Pink & Main, Sunny Hello
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Colours: Miya oil pencils

The rest of the AAA Cards DT have also made superb examples of Maxi White Space CAS cards to help you on your way. Check them all out HERE. We also have the multi talented Maria guesting with us and I'm a long time admirer of her style so I strongly advise a visit to her blog - HERE.

Huge thanks for visiting my blog today, it's been fun to have you join me.

And keep crafting!
