Monday Moment

Hey!

I've a Christmas card to share today that's going into the CAS Christmas challenge.

It used one of Funky Fossil's Silly Snowmen and their new A7 background stamps Chevrons.

I started by inking up the chevrons across the bottom right corner using a Kaleidacolor ink pad.  I then added some falling snow and the greeting.

The snowman was stamped onto another piece of card and coloured to match the chevrons. I then popped him up on pads for dimension.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Silly Snowmen, Chevrons
Inks: Kaleidscolor, Caribbean Sea; Memento, tuxedo black
Pens: Copic, BG0000, BG10, BG49, C0, YR07, YG06, YG09

I'm so pleased to have had your company here on my blog, thanks so much for stopping by.

Friday Focus

I'm beginning to build up my stash of Christmas cards again and have another to share today which is going into the April CAS Christmas challenge.

Such a cool and different idea to include a rainbow on a Christmas card!

I started by stamping the lamp post from Time For Tea Designs Carolling Critters and then masked it off. I then masked off a corner and inked it up in rainbow colours. Use code T4TJANE10 att checkout to get 10% off.

Next I stamped, coloured and die cut the carol singing critter and placed it on the card front. I stamped a greeting and added colour to the lamp post before matting the whole thing onto a white card base.

When I started this card I wasn't too sure how a rainbow would look on a Christmas card, but I think it's ok. How about you?

Supplies:
Stamps: T4TD, Carolling Critters & die; sentiment from Clearly Besotted, Little Elves
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black, lady bug, tangelo, dandelion, bamboo leaves, danube blue, grape jelly, lulu lavender
Pens: Copic, W1, W3, R20, R29, R39, B0000, B02, B04, Y35, Y38, N1, N3, N5; Sakura gelly roll white & black glaze

Huge thanks for dropping by my blog today, it's always so much more fun when you do.

Thursday Thoughts

I love the look of white and red on kraft card so the March challenge at CAS Christmas is perfect for me.

And I've made another mini slimline!

I love the Silly Snowmen stamps from Funky Fossil and didn't get to use them much last Christmas - about to put that right!

I stamped the image and sentiment using Versafine Clair ink as I knew I was going to be colouring using pencils instead of my go to Copic pens. I chose several shades of red and of course white.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Silly Snowmen
Ink: Versafine Clair, nocturne
Colours: Prisma Color pencils; Sakura white gel pen

Thank you so much for spending some of your precious time looking at my blog, i really appreciate it.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

Wednesday Words

Today I'm sharing the card I created for the challenge at CAS Christmas.

I decided to use a very cute digi from Polkadoodles - Snowdrift Friends.

How cute is this pile up? I have to own up to chopping off a robin that sits on top of the cat - wasn't sure if it would meet the challenge theme with a bird in the mix too. So that's why the image is cut out and then adhered to the card front.

The sentiment is from a MFT stamp set and seemed to match perfectly. As you can see Christmas glitter was used, but not showing so well is the black glaze pen I added to the eyes and nose.

Supplies:
Stamps: Polkadoodles digi, Snowdrift Friends; MFT, Happy Pawlidays
Pens: Copic, N1, N3, N7, BG0000, E42, E43, E44, G17, G28, R29, R39, R59, R81; Sakura gelly roll glaze black
Embellishments: Stickles, Star Dust

Thanks so much for your time today, I'm delighted you found my blog.

Monday Moment

Today I'm sharing a card I created with two challenges in mind - Christmas Kickstart and CAS Christmas. Never too early to start a Christmas card stash!

I decided to use mainly stencils for my card:

I started by inking the base of the Snow Globe with stormy sky distress oxide. Then I placed the main section of the snow globe and used three colours of distress oxide. I flicked over this with water to create a bit of a snowstorm.

Once the water had dried I inked through the smaller deer from the Steampunk Reindeer stencil using black ink - loving how dainty and different the deer is. I finished it all off with a stamped greeting and matted it onto a 6" square base card.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Festive Phrases
Stencils: Funky Fossil, Steampunk Reindeer, Snow Globe
Inks: Ranger distress oxide, stormy sky, tumbled glass, shaded lilac, spun sugar; Versafine Clair, nocturne

Delighted to have you visit my blog today, thanks so much.

Friday Focus

I've Christmas on my mind today and NOT Friday 13th! So a non-traditional colours challenge over at CAS Christmas caught my eye.

So I chose some favourite colours and came up with this card:

I used the Funky Fossil Antler Background stencil and masked off all but a central diamond section. Then I used the same three oxide colours to stamp the greeting from Festive Phrases.

I'm thinking this card might just be created in some other colourways too as it's such a quick and easy fix for those last minute cards.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Festive Phrases
Stencil: Funky Fossil, Antler Background
Inks: Ranger distress oxide, tumbled glass, picked raspberry, peacock feathers

Thanks so much for stopping by today, it's been so much fun to have your company for a while.

Monday Moment

Today my card is a Christmas one and it's going into the challenge at  CAS Christmas

Here it is:

I used the Skinny Trees stencil from Funky Fossil and three ink colours, but decided stick with just the one tree. This is so easy to do by masking off the parts of the stencil you don't want to use. I also tape both the card and stencil to my craft mat - I've learnt this the hard way with too many slipped smudgy efforts, it just doesn't pay to be lazy!

The sentiment is from a retired Uniko stamp set, but i really like its simplicity and use it all the time.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko Simply Said Christmas
Inks: Versafine Clair, nocturne; Ranger distress oxide, pine needles, twisted citron, picked raspberry

Thanks for your time today, it's always feel special to me that you are sharing some of it by looking at my blog.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

Tuesday Talk

Today I'm playing along with the Twelve Days of Christmas Challenge at CAS Christmas.

Now I have seen commercially produced cards that have all of the elements from the Twelves Days of Christmas song, but fortunately this was not expected for this challenge.

I went with the two turtle doves verse and some added music notes to reflect the inspiration's origin from a song. Hoping this will be acceptable!

Supplies:
Stamps: Lawn Fawn, Winter Sparrows (I'm using them as turtle doves!)
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Pens: Copic, E000, E00, R27, R29, G28; Wink of Stellas clear; Sakura gelly roll white

Huge thanks for looking at my blog today, I'm always pleased to have your company for a while.

Today I'm sharing a card I created for the challenge at CAS Christmas. The theme is Bells.

Here's my card:

I used stamps from a magazine freebie along with some Uniko sentiment and alpha stamps. I started by stamping the re letters and replaced the 'a' with a bell stamped in green. I then added the holly leaves and the small Christmas greeting.

In the top corner I reversed the colours and stamped the bells in red and coloured the dots in green. I then matted it all onto a red card base.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Alphabet Outlined, Festive Sentiments; Magazine freebie bell and holly
Inks: SU, tranquil tide, cherry cobbler
Pens: Copic, G28, R27

Tuesday Talk

Today I'm sharing a card I made for the challenge at CAS Christmas.

Here's my card:

I stamped the reindeer first and then masked it off to create the hilly background. When I removed the mask there were a few white edges showing around the reindeer so I used a fine paint brush and the same inks to fill it in. I stamped the trees and greeting next, then coloured the reindeer using my Copic pens.

The final detail was to add a touch of Wink of Stella glisten to the reindeer's nose, scarf, saddle and hooves.

Supplies:
Stamps: Clearly Besotted, Let's Prance
Inks: Ranger distress oxide, salty ocean, worn lipstick, wilted violet; Memento, tuxedo black
Pens: Copic, E55, E57, E59, RV55, RV66, V15, V17; Wink of Stella, clear

Another card in my growing Christmas stash. How about you? How is your Christmas card pile going?

Thanks for dropping by today, I always appreciate you taking the time.  And keep crafting!

Monday Moment

Glitter - did you say glitter? And on a Christmas card too? Well of course I had to join in with the CAS Christmas Challenge this month!

I've recently discovered the joy of Polkadoodles goodies and had a bit of a spending spree there so a chance to break open this Christmas gnome stamp - North Pole - was seized upon immediately.

And isn't he awesome? Such a fun image to colour! And glitter up of course! Here's a little close up of that glitter:

Ugh! Look at the state of my red Copic pen - I'll need to clean that up before going on my next class with Faye Wynn Jones in September!

Supplies:
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black
Pens: Copic, YG13, YG23, W1, C0, C3, R29, 239, B000, B01, B02, BG0000; Sakura Gelly roll, white
Glitter: Stickles, Diamond
