Funky Fossil May Pre-Release Peeks - Scandi Garden

Welcome to Day 2 of the peeks at the new May release from Funky Fossil. Today it's a companion set for the previously released Scandi Home - Scandi Garden.

This set has endless possibilities for building borders, but true to my usual CAS style I've kept mine to a minimum.

The plants in the teapot and cup plus the little house are my favourites from this set as well as the little border squares. I simply chose three colours and stamped a border for part of the edge and then added in the teapot planter.

I finished off with one of the sentiments from the set.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Scandi Garden
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black, dandelion, cottage ivy, lady bug

And now for something completely different! Neither my usual style nor cards, some MDF shapes that are available from Funky Fossil. Look out for these in a bundle on Hochanda on Sunday 10th May.

And what better shape to combine with the Scandi stamp sets than this little bird house. I started by prepping it with a layer of gesso and once dry I added colour through the Scandi Quilt and Grid stencils. Then I just kept adding stamps on top until I was pleased with the result.

I finished off by adding a stamped piece of card behind the heart shaped aperture with an enamel dot and some ribbon to hang the house.

Supplies:
Stamps – Scandi Home, Scandi Garden
Stencils – Grid, Scandi Quilt
MDF Funky Fossil, Bird House
Ink: Versafine Clair, nocturne; Ranger distress, lucky clover, mermaid lagoon
Ribbon, twine & enamel dot

My final sample for today is another MDF shape - hearts -also available from Funky Fossil and in a bundle on Hochanda on Sunday.

This time I went with my favourite pinks and purples, but added a little yellow into the mix too. Once again I prepped the MDF with a layer of gesso before adding the background using the Butterfly Flurry and Dotty Circle Background stencils.

I then stamped the main images in black and filled in the spaces with some coloured stamping. I also added some purple gems and ribbon to hang the heart.

Supplies:
Stamps – Scandi Home, Scandi Garden
Ink: Versafine Clair, nocturne; Ranger distress, wilted violet, picked raspberry; Memento, pear tart
Ribbon

So what do think? Are you in love with the Scandi Garden stamps and MDF shapes? Remember to look out for that show on Hochanda and grab yourself a bundle!

Still three more stamp sets to show you over the rest of this week so I hope you'll come back to take a look tomorrow - it's a super cute set! Thanks so much for your time today.

Keep safe, stay home and craft instead!
