Thursday Thoughts

Rainbow is the code word at Addicted to CAS - still very appropriate as we're all still waiting for the rainbow to appear at the end of our troubled times.

My card uses a rainbow of colours and a sweet toadstool home. Don't you just hate it when you hear folks saying they're stuck at home? Surely home is a place where it's a pleasure to be and I much prefer the phrase 'safe at home'.

So here's that card:

I used two Funky Fossil stamp sets - Bees Knees and Scandi Home. I started by stamping the greeting using the tiny dewdrop ink pads from Memento. Then I stamped the toadstool home above it and used Inktense pencils to colour it up in a matching rainbow of colours.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Bees Knees & Scandi Home
Inks: Memento, lady bug, tangelo, dandelion, bamboo leaves, danube blue, grape jelly, lilac posies
Colours: Derwent Inktense pencils

Huge thanks for your time today, I'm so pleased you came to say hello.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

Saturday Slot

Today I'm playing along with the Flower challenge at Addicted to CAS.

Here's my card:

I used the Funky Fossil newly released Scandi Garden stamp set and my favourite coloured Kaleidacolor ink pad.

I simply stamped the sentiment and then the can of flowers on top starting wit the dark purple at the bottom and the hot pink at the top.

Ink: Kaleidacolor, Berry Blaze

Huge thanks for your time today, I'm so pleased you dropped by.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

Guest Designing at Addicted To CAS

I'm thrilled to be Guest Designing at Addicted To CAS today. The code word is Silhouette.

Here's my card:

I started by inking through the Funky Fossil Dotty Frame stencil and then placed the Butterfly Flurry stencil on top. i masked off all but the three butterflies I wanted and then used black ink to ink them up.

I stamped a greeting and matted it onto a white card base. Simple, quick and so easy!

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko retired set
Stencils: Funky Fossil, Dotty Frame, Butterfly Flurry
Inks: Ranger distress, wilted violet, picked raspberry, lucky clover, mustard seed, black soot; Versafine Clair, nocturne

Thanks so much for dropping by my blog today, I really appreciate you taking the time.

Keep safe, stay home and craft instead!

Wednesday Words

There's a very interesting challenge going on at Addicted to CAS at the moment - Symmetry.

Now that's just so appealing to me. I really like the neatness and precision of symmetry and struggle with randomness of any kind.

Here's my card:

I used the Butterfly Heart stencil from Funky Fossil because - well butterflies are symmetrical and so is this heart and the butterflies within it!  Then I set my self the challenge of trying to add inks so that the heart full of butterflies would stay symmetrical. Think I've more or less managed it!

And what better sentiment than WOW - perfectly symmetrical! I finished off this card by matting it onto a black card base.

Supplies:
Stencil: Funky Fossil, Butterfly Heart
Inks: Ranger distress oxide, squeezed lemonade, spiced marmalade, picked raspberry
Die: MFT Die-namics, WOW

It's been so much fun to have you drop by today, thanks so much for your time.

And keep crafting!
