Tuesday Talk

Time to catch up with posting my December Daily. I did manage to keep up with the journalling and photo cards, but kept missing the light to photo the completed pages.

And time on the computer was never going to happen when my grandsons were here! Now I'm missing them and trying to fill the gaps in my day by sharing what we got up to.

Day 17 - Just beginning to get that overwhelmed sort of feeling and forcing myself to slow down.

A glimpse at my gold themed wrapping paper rolls. This page was very influenced by Ali Edwards - here.

Day 18 - The first of many mini - well quite large actually - shops for groceries. And I really did think I was going over the top, but looking back with hindsight I might have saved myself a few trips if I'd remembered how much more six people eat than two, not to mention the extra four people, making ten, on some days.

This photo was taking just moments before I attempted to get in the front of the car and my husband screamed at me to hold onto the door as the wind was so strong. A little indignant sulking took place on the journey home!

Day 19 - A wondering if they would make it day. Bit of a replay of this time last year, but unlike then at least we knew they had made contingency plans this year. Their freezer was stocked with food and Santa had been notified and was well prepared.

No photo about today's theme for obvious reasons, so I went with a Christmas believe in the magic collage.

Day 20 - We knew by this stage that they had made the sea crossing and after an overnight hotel stay were on the road for the last part of their journey. So I was able to settle with a calm head to make these little boxes using the Stampin Up box maker score board.

Seems my head wasn't as calm as I thought as I deleted all the photos of the boxes from both the computer and camera and had to retrieve the boxes from under the tree and repeat the whole process!

Well that's the first installment of my catch up December Daily. I'll be back tomorrow with the next few pages and hopefully on New Year's Day with the final set. As always I'll be linking up with Let's December Daily.

Let's December Daily Badge

Thanks so much for looking.

  1. That was fun to read! I'm sitting on the couch with my Corgi watching scary movies and catching up on blogger stuff. I really enjoyed your adventures so far away from Portland Oregon USA. Thanks for sharing :)

I so hear you on not having enough time this year for Christmas, though I think your little boxes with money in them a perfect solution!!! I'm sure they loved them! (I gave money in clear baubles (they open across the middle) too) Your December Daily is a journey!! I love this!
