Friday Focus

I'm here today to share a card I made for Stamplorations CAS Cards Challenge.

http://stamplorations.blogspot.co.uk/2017/03/cas-challenge-march.html

Here's my card:

I used my favourite acrylic block watercolour technique to create the background - loving the unexpected colours revealed once water and blending takes effect.

As it was to be a CAS card I simply stamped a sentiment and a sketchy butterfly and added a trio of sequins.

I've recently been using Versafine onyx black for my stamping and I'm loving the amazing depth of colour it gives even at a single stamping. Wondering what your favourite ink is for outline and sentiment stamping?

Supplies:
Stamps: Stamplorations, Winged Things, Noteworthy 2
Inks: Adirondack, stonewashed; Memento, Summer sky; Ranger distress, blueprint sketch; Versafine, onyx black
Embellishments: sequins from my stash

And that's me done for today. Huge thanks for dropping by and keep crafting!

  1. Love this card, Jane! Perfectly CAS -- thanks for playing with us this month at the STAMPlorations CAS Cards Challenge :o) I use Versafine Onyx Black too for stamping sentiments (as well as Ranger Jet Black Archival ink).

  2. So pretty, Jane. Your background is lovely and a fabulous sentiment too.

  3. I love the super CAS design and that watercolour background is so gorgeous. I have also settled for Versafine as my favourite black - I used to like other blacks and think they were "black" but when I got Versafine I realised the others look dull and grey against it. Thank you for playing along with the STAMPlorations CAS Challenge. We hope to see you back again soon! Karola, DT, InvisiblePinkCards
