Tuesday Talk

Hello! I'm back again today to share a tag I made for another Stamplorations blog hop - Holiday TAGplorations is the theme.

http://stamplorations.blogspot.co.uk/2016/11/holiday-tagplorations.html

Well I must say Stamplorations are certainly keeping me busy hopping round all their DT blogs! But I have managed to squeeze in a little creating time too and here's my tag:

I created the background using sticky note masks and then stamped the elf and sentiment just overlapping the hills a little. I coloured the elf and sleigh of presents with promarkers and added some glossy accents and glamour dust to ground them both - oh yes and to add copious amounts of sparkle! Showing up better in the photo below ......

Supplies:
Stamps: Clearly Besotted, Little Elves
Inks: Ranger distress, spun sugar, shaded lilac; SU, pool party
Promarkers: tan, blush, dusky pink, tea green, denim blue, rose pink
Die: Die-namics, stitched traditional tags
Embellishments: Deco Art Glamour Dust; Glossy Accents; MeiFlower gem

Well that's me about done for today, off now to carry on with the blog hopping - and as I'm scheduling this post, hopefully I will be all done by the time you read this.

Thanks enormously for your time, hope you enjoyed taking a peep at my blog. And keep crafting!

Monday Moment

Today I'm sharing a card I made for the Stamplorations Giving Thanks blog hop. And boy is it a huge blog hop - 39 blogs to visit. Well that's my week all sorted then!

http://stamplorations.blogspot.co.uk/2016/11/giving-thanks-blog-hop.html

But I have managed to make a card amid all that hopping. Here it is:

I started by inking up some different sized circles using home made circle stencils. I then stamped the glorious Stamplorations sunflower straight on top. Simple, quick and satisfying.

I'm thinking this colour mix might just be my new favourite!

Supplies:
Stamps: Stamplorations, Sunflower; sentiment from HLS Mix Mash
Inks: SU, ricjh razzleberry, peekaboo peach

So pleased to have you drop by my blog today, thanks for your time.  Come back soon and keep crafting!

Happy Little Stampers - Release & Blog Hop

Today I'm here with some exciting news. You all know that Happy Little Stampers have released six new stamp sets?  Well now you have a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to help you on your way to getting them into your stash.

Here's an overview of the release:

And this is what you have to do to be in with a chance to win:

Just work your way through the hop links at the bottom of my post and comment on each of the blogs.  Couldn't be any easier!

Of course it wouldn't be a proper blog hop without some sample cards made using the new release stamps and today I'm featuring three of them.

First up is Mixed Media Fun combined with some vibrant brusho colours.

This is one of those stamp sets that I'll be using over and over for cards, Project Life inserts and full page scrapbooking.

Supplies:
Stamps: HLS, Mixed Media Fun
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black; Brusho, violet, ultramarine, turquoise
Die: Die-namics, stitched traditional tag stax

Next up is Rainy Days

I love how this set contains some wonderfully supportive sentiments - because we all need a little boost from our friends every now and then.

Supplies:
Stamps: HLS, Rainy Days
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black
Promarkers: rose pink, buttercup, mustard
Die: Die-namics, Peek-a-Boo Circle Window
Embellishments: SU hearts, sweet sugarplum

My final card uses Christmas Joy and Mixed Media Fun

I'm a bit of a sucker for splodgy effect stamps and couldn't resist adding some to set off these ultra modern and funky trees.

Supplies:
Stamps: HLS, Christmas Joy & Mixed Media Fun
Inks: SU, tempting turquoise, real red, baked brown sugar
Die: Die-namics, double stitched rectangles
Washi from my stash

The only thing left for me to do now is give you the blog hop limks and let you get going on your quest to win. Good luck to you all!

Thanks for your time today.  And keep crafting!

AAA Cards - #78 Circles

My youngest grandson has always loved anything circular, so if he could I know he'd be joining in with the new challenge at AAA Cards.

http://aaacards.blogspot.com/2016/11/cas-game-78-circles.html

And with December rapidly approaching I just had to make my card a Christmas one.

I used just part of the reindeer stamp - I usually forget that it's not always necessary to use the whole of a stamp - and had fun adding some pops of colour.

Supplies:
Stamps: Clearly Besotted, Let's Prance
Inks: SU, garden green; Memento, tuxedo black
Dies: MFT Die-namics, double stitched rectangles; Crealies, circle trio No 7
Promarkers: poppy, tulip yellow, mustard

How will you interpret the circles at AAA Cards this fortnight? Can't wait to find out! But first you should go see the rest of the DT creations - here - you'll be blown away by the different ways circles can appear on cards!

So pleased you dropped by today, thanks so much.  And keep crafting!

Uniko Challenge #38

Uniko is going all festive with its November Challenge and would like to see some Christmas cards. The perfect excuse to get that Christmas stash increased!

I've been seeing a lot of non traditional colours aroud in the shops again this year, so i decided to give it a go myself. and this is what I came up with.

Not so long ago every card I made featured an inlaid die, but not for a while now. So I decided it was time to use this technique again, it's so good for posting and adds interest without bulk.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Winter Foliage, Jingle Bells
Inks: Memento, bamboo leaves, lilac posies
Die: Lawn Fawn, large stitched square stackables

I know you'll all going to be making Christmas cards at this time of the year, so why not pop one into Uniko's Challenge. You never know you could be the winner!

Thanks for looking today, your visit is greatly appreciated. And keep crafting!

CAS Colours & Sketches #200

YAY! CAS Colours & Sketches is celebrating its 200th challenge this week. That's just amazing!

So this week we're creating cards using a colour scheme inspired by our blog banner - all the blues. And there's some prizes too! We have three fabulous sponsors - Uniko, Lawn Fawn & Stamplorations. Go check out how to win here.

http://cascoloursandsketches.blogspot.com/2016/11/challenge-200-colours.html

This time of year is very heavy with family birthdays and my card was created with my youngest son in mind.

He manages an outdoor clothing shop and has sold me several t-shirts with a birds on the wire design, not to mention the coffee mugs we use every day. So the blues seemed perfect for a card reflecting this - I know he'll enjoy the joke!

I die cut the stitched rectangle from a pale blue, then stamped the birds using a medium and dark blue, trying for an ombre effect along the line. I repeated this ombre shading for the sentiment too.

Supplies:
Stamps: Inkylicious, Birds on a Wire Silhouette; HLS, Mix Mash
Inks: SU, marina mist, dapper denim
Die: MFT Die-namics, double stitched rectangles

OK are you ready to celebrate with us at CC&S? Go see the rest of the DT and our Guest Designer Joyce's cards - here - and then break out those blues.

So pleased you dropped by today on this auspicious occasion, thanks two hundred times!  And keep crafting!
