Wednesday Words

One layer week at Less is More and I love making one layer cards. They're also asking for colouring and I love colouring. Bit of a done deal for me then!

Oh and did I mention I was picked at Less is More as their August winner - how amazingly fabulous is that!

Supplies:
Stamps: Dovecraft, Hot Air Balloon; Lawn Fawn, Hello Sunshine
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black
Colours: Prismacolor pencils

Thanks a bunch for stopping by today, it's been a pleasure having your company.  And keep crafting!

Tuesday Talk

Today I'm CASEing the gorgeous card by Bev of Uniko for the challenge at Time Out.

Grab Our Badge!

Here's how Bev's card inspired me:

I kept with the rainbow stripes from Bev's card, but changed up the stamp set to the multi worded Uniko Block Party Birthday. Loving how this looks against the rainbow colours.

And as it's all one layer it will be post friendly and destined for a friend's birthday coming up really soon.

Supplies:
Stamp: Uniko, Block Party Birthday
Inks: Memento, ladybug, tangelo, dandelion, pear tart, bahama blue, grape jelly, tuxedo black

Thanks for dropping by today, it's be fun to have you visit. And keep crafting!

Monday Moments

I'm  bit slow to this party but have finally caught up with the fact that My Favorite Things has challenges! And since I nearly always use their dies on my cards I thought it was about time I joined in.
Sketch Challenge 349 #mftstamps
My card was made using the Wednesday Sketch above and my only - at the moment - MFT stamp set. I've got a mega stash of MFT dies, but need to do some serious stamp shopping!

First up I created a watercoloured panel and once it was dry I die cut it into a stitched rectangle. The planet was stamped and heat embossed on this.

The balloon toting astronaut and the greeting were heat embossed onto a piece of scrap card, then colours to tone in with the background were used. The greeting was cut into a banner and the astronaut was hand cut and popped up on foam pads for dimension.

Supplies: Stamps: MFT Space Explorer
Inks: Versamark, clear; Ranger distress, wilted violet, blueprint sketch
Embossing: Ranger superfine, black
Dies: MFT, double stitched rectangles
Pens: Copic, E55, N1, BV11, BV13, BV17, B12, B14, B18; Promarkers, cool aqua, blush, dusly pimk; Gelly roll, white

I think he's kinda cute and I know my grandson will adore him, hope you do too!

Huge thanks for visiting my blog today, I really appreciate using up some of your precious time.

And keep crafting!

Happy Little Stampers - ATC September Challenge

Oh today's share was such a fun and totally different thing for me to create. The theme this month for the Happy Little Stampers ATC is SHAPES.

http://www.happylittlestampers.com/

And I went all Mondrian inspired for my DT samples.

I used the simple palette of colours as well as the shape patterns that are so typical of his work and made myself a trio of little beauties.

Supplies:
Stamps: Clearly Besotted, Geometric Style; Uniko Garlands Galore
Inks: SU, daffodil delight, real red, pacific point; Memento, tuxedo black

Are you still on the fence about creating ATCs? Well I can't recommend them highly enough for both creative satisfaction and time busting. And I need some peeps to swap with me, so please give those 3.5" x 2.5" leftover bits of card a new lease of life and get ATCing!

Over at HLS you'll find loads more fabulous ideas of how to make SHAPES the focus of your ATCs - go check them out HERE.

Now what are you waiting for, give it a try! Thanks for looking. And keep crafting!

Uniko - September New Release & Reveal Blog Hop

Yahoo! Today's the day! At last it's time to reveal all the Uniko September Release stamps in full.

And what would a new release be with out a few samples from me!

Couldn't resist this one and knew as soon as I saw the Reach For The Stars set that I was going to create along these lines. See my scrapbooking heart always jumps in whenever it can!

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Reach For The Stars, Background Builders Seeing Stars
Inks: SU, chocolate chip, baked brown sugar
Frame: IKEA

I used three of the new release sets for this next sample -  Background Builders Seeing Stars, Background Blocks Stars & Simply Said Blocks.

I used a scrap piece of card and masked off a strip, stamped and blended, then repeated the masking, stamping and blending for the next two strips. I trimmed it all up and adhered it to plain white cardstock.

I stamped a sentiment from Simply Said Blocks, added an enamel star and popped it up on foam pads - this covered a little slip up with my masking too!

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Background Builders Seeing Stars, Background Blocks Stars, Simply Said Blocks
Inks: Ranger distress, blueprint sketch, mermaid lagoon, cracked pistachio
Embellishment: SU, enamel star emerald envy

My final card has me in the Christmas spirit:

I built my tree from the larger stars in the Background Builders Seeing Stars set and then used one of the smaller stars at the top and one of the star strips to create a trunk.

The sentiment is from an older Uniko set - Simply Said Christmas - and I added a few golden gems as baubles.

Supplies:
Uniko: Background Builders Seeing Stars, Simply Said Christmas
Inks: SU, old olive, cherry cobbler, baked brown sugar
Card: SU, old olive

Now before you go racing off to look at the rest of the Uniko DT creations - HERE - or put in an order - HERE - remember to leave me a comment so that you can go into the draw to win the entire new release.

Here's the blog hop order to save you some time:

Jane  - that's me

Many thanks for dropping by today and good luck with your quest to be the lucky winner - hope it's you!

And, of course, keep crafting!

Uniko - Introducing Background Blocks: Stars & Background Builders: Seeing Stars

Last introductions to Uniko's September release today. Two more sets and both absolute stonkers!

http://unikostudio.blogspot.co.uk/         http://unikostudio.blogspot.co.uk/

A bit of a recurring theme in this release. Have you worked it out? Yep, STARS.

Here's my first sample card and it's multi coloured - bit of a change for me!

I stamped the Background Blocks Stars onto lime green cardstock and then set to for a peaceful time colouring in with my prisma color pencils - ah sigh, love colouring.

I die cut this into a stitched rectangle and then die cut a sentiment window. I die cut a slightly larger stitched rectangle in white and stamped the sentiment using Simply Said Blocks. I then matted the layers up onto a lime green card base.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Background Blocks Stars, Simply Said Blocks
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black
Card: SU, lemon lime twist
Colours: PrismaColor
Dies: MFT Dienamics, doubled stitched rectangles, stitched rectangle word window

Sticking with that lemon lime twist colour for my next card, but this time using  the ink and pairing it up with some favourite pinks.

I started by stamping the three large stars from Background Builders Seeing Stars and then handcut a mask for two of them. I then added the green line of stars and the smaller stars.

The sentiment is from yesterday's introduction set - Reach For The Stars -  and I outlined it with a trio of enamel stars. A strip of matching coloured cardstock just finished off this card - bit of a favourite thing for me to do.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko: Background Builders Seeing Stars, Reach For The Stars
Inks: SU, berry burst, sweet sugar plum, lemon lime twist
Card stock: SU, berry burst
Embelllishments: SU, sweet sugar plum enamel stars

My final card for today is really stripped bare and very simple - so appealing to my CAS heart.

This idea popped into my head when I was making the first of today's cards.  When I had stamped the block sentiment onto the stitched rectangle I so loved it I knew I would create another card with this look.

A little hanging star from Background Builders Seeing Stars with an enamel star in the middle and a hand drawn line just about sums up this card.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Background Builder Seeing Stars, Simply Said Blocks
Inks: SU, tempting turquoise + matching pen
Card & Embellishment: SU, dapper denim

So that's all my introductions to Uniko's September release wrapped up. Tomorrow sees the full reveal and your chance to get these fabulous stamps into your shopping basket.  And of course the chance to win the entire release. You know you want them!

Thanks for visiting my blog today, so pleased to have your company. See you tomorrow!

But in the meantime keep crafting!
