Uniko - Beautiful Blooms I & II Revisited

It's time to revisit a previously released set at Uniko this month. And actually it's two sets - Beautiful Blooms I & II. And as always there's plenty of DT inspiration and a blog hop to follow with the chance to win one of the featured sets.

I've made a couple of cards using Beautiful Blooms I - one of my all time favourites and go to stamps from Uniko. So here's the first:

I've been seeing a lot of cards using the new crealies patchwork dies and decided to see if I could manage to emulate them using the dies I already have in my stash.

I was quite pleased with the result and think the beautiful bloom looks really cool stamped just off the edge.

Stamps: Uniko, Beautiful Blooms 1 & sentiment from A Gift For You
Ink: SU, real red; Memento, tuxedo black
Die: Spellbinders, standard circles small; Lawn Fawn, large stitched circle stackables

My second card uses both the small and large bloom heads from the set and a classic colour combo.

And apart from the sprinkles it's a one layer card so can be posted easily. Ideal for those times when a quick note is needed.

Stamps: Uniko, Beautiful Blooms I & All Occasion Sentiments #1
Injks: SU. crushed curry, smoky slate; Memento, tuxedo black
Embellishments: Doodlebug sprinkles, bumble bee asst.

Of course I couldn't let Beautiful Blooms II sit all rejected on the shelf, so I made a third card just so that it wouldn't feel left out.

I used one of the new Stampin Up in colours - mint macaron - and a favourite pinky purple from Memento - lilac posies. I'm loving this colour clash so much!

And I'm thinking this may just be my favourite of the three cards. Which is yours? I'd love you to leave a comment and let me know.

Stamps: Uniko, Beautiful Blooms II & Simply Said Birthday
Inks: SU, mint macaron; Memento, lilac posies
Die: Dienamics, Celebrate
Embellishments: Doodlebug Sprinkles, love glitter asst.

Off you go now hopping along the blog to marvel at the fantastic creations by Beverley and the rest of the DT. Here's the order:

Jane (that's me)

  1. These are all beautiful. Absolutely love the card with the circle shape cut out and a portion of the flower missing, brilliant. Then the second card with the cluster of flower wow

  2. Love your first card with the geometric patchwork die cutting a cool technique you have inspired me to try out. The partial stamped bloom at that angle works beautifully too. FABulous masking on your second card & you made me chuckle when you said about BB II being left on the shelf rejected and what a STUNNER! Love that colour combo, fresh & vibrant. A super duper showcase of the sets :) Hugs Bev x

  3. I love what you've done with these, Jane! Such a great variety of designs! I love the colors in your second card...so elegant!!!

  4. Very pretty cards, Jane! I love these beautiful colors and your great design!

  5. Oh my....you've showcased two of my favourite sets beautifully! Love the variety!

  6. Three pretty cards, love expecially the third, but the first one is so unusual and creative!

  7. Super cards! The first is a brilliant idea - great design.

  8. Three lovely cards...all so different. Clever use of the stamp and dies in the first one. Love the colour combo in the second and the third......great colours and design.

  9. Beautiful cards featuring these lovely Beautiful Blooms sets! I hadn't seen the patchwork idea yet... another technique to try out! The Happy Birthday is my favorite too... love that color combo!

  10. Very beautiful set of cards, i like how you did the tric on card 1 without having the CreaLies dies and your second card is just superb, love this colour combo. Such beautiful stamps I hope I can win a set. Thank you for sharing these beauties.
    Greetings Veerle

  11. Wow, you've been a busy lady!! They are all great cards, but my favorite is the black/grey/gold one. Love the layout and how you layered all the flowers. The colors in the last one are just an amazing combo....so bold and bright! Love how you created that pattern of leaves too!

  12. Lovely cards. The grey, yellow and black is stunning. Thanks.

  13. A gorgeous selection of cards. I think my favourite is the middle one with the black, grey and gold. It's not a colour combination I would think to use, but your card is stunning. xx

  14. All the cards are so pretty!! I LOVE what you did with the circle!!! That second one is my favorite because I LOVE the colors!! xo

  15. These are all gorgeous, Jane! Love that patchwork design - so eye catching and I do love the colour combo on the second card. The mint on the third card is yummy and the leaves stamped around the flower add extra dimension. Great inspiration :)
