Today I'm sharing a card I made for two challenges, CASology and Time Out, who both have the same theme - masculine. One very close to my heart then with all the males in my family.
Time to break out the blues then!
I used homemade stencils to ink up the three background circles and then stamped over with the script and smaller circles. I'm loving these Happy Little Stamper sets and the circles in particular - just keep reaching for them all the time.
Ok so having made a CAS card I really liked I thought I'd see if I could add the mixed media twist to it that Time Out mentioned. So I did a bit of embossing, added two die cut arrows and some enamel dots - hoping that makes it qualify.
And I'm thinking I like this second version even more. Seems more rugged and masculine, but still CAS. What do you think?
Stamps: Happy Little Stampers, Mix Mash, Thinking of You
Inks: Ranger distress, peacock feathers, blueprint sketch, cracked pistachio; SU, night of navy
Die: Technique Tuesday, That Arrow Card
Embellishments: Doodlebug Sprinkles, blue jean asst.
Thanks for coming over to look at my blog today, your visit is greatly appreciated. And keep crafting!
Great combination of elements, colour, texture, to make this masculine card! So glad you joined us at CASology this week!ReplyDelete
wow Jane I really like you made this CAS card mixed media. Just a few subtle changes and there you go! I love the mix of stamps and colours. The added texture and die cuts add so much interest. I am with you, I like the TO card you did better (can you believe we both like the mixed media better!!). Such a superb card for our challenge and thanks for joining us at TOReplyDelete
