AAA Cards - #80 Silver

Is it chilly where you are? Or are you basking in the sunshine? Well whatever the weather I'm sure you'll be able to use the new challenge theme from AAA Cards.

And to me the image looked all frosty and cold, so that's what I went with.

First up I created a wintery looking background with distress inks. I was aiming for early morning when the branches of trees are covered in hoar frost and the moon is still in the sky.

The tree and word were stamped and heat embossed in silver and I added a silver card strip down the left hand side. The photo below shows up the silver embossing more clearly.

Supplies:
Stamps: Visible Image, Four Every Season
Inks: Versafine; Ranger distress, shaded lilac, frayed burlap
Embossing: Ranger superfine, silver
Embellishments: Crafter's Companion, spray & sparkle, iridescent

This is the last 2016 AAA Cards challenge and we're letting it run for three weeks to give all the DT time to celebrate the season. But we'll be back! On January 8th in fact.

Thanks for your time today. I hope all your preparations are going to plan and you'll have time to relax and chill and enjoy.  I'm sending you Christmas sparkle to help you on your way!

  5. So serene and pretty, Jane. The last photo does a great job at showing off the beautiful shimmery tree. It reminds me of ice storms in Maine. The bare trees branches look like they've been covered in glass. :) Merry Christmas!

  7. That tree embossed in silver is beautiful - setting it against the soft blended colours and the moon is so ethereal. You captured that frosty time of day perfectly. Such a peaceful card.
