Wednesday Words

I'm playing along with Calling All Sistahs October challenge today.

Although I've been joining in with this challenge for a while now, it's suddenly taken on a new meaning as one of my closest friends is currently facing her own battle. I made this card for her:

I masked off a strip down the right hand side of my card and blended a mix of distress oxide inks. I then place a stencil on top and added more oxide ink through it.

I chose the stamp and sentiment because it has such a relevant message and then decided to repeat the ink blending and stencil inking to mirror the base card.

Supplies:
Stamps: Happy Little Stampers, Born To Be Wild
Inks: SU, baked brown sugar; Ranger distress oxides, wild honey, spiced marmalade, candied apple, fired brick
Stencil: Uniko, Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum

Thanks for your time today, i'm so pleased you spent some of it loooking at my blog.

And keep crafting!

  1. oh Jane I am so sorry to hear about your friend. My best friend is going through the same thing and I used the exact same stamp and sentiment and she loved it and still has it up in her lounge-so I know this will give comfort to your friend. And the mix of colours is really bold and such a subtle use of the stencil-we love to see you at Calling All Sistahs but my heart goes out to you as I know how hard it is when one of your loved ones go through this-sending hugs x
