Thursday Thoughts

I'm sharing a couple of ATCs I made to take part in the facebook Happy ATC group's events.

First up is a card I made for their monthly swap using July's theme of Sunrise & Sunset.

Image may contain: cloud, sky, ocean, text, outdoor, nature and water

I used a STAMPlorations set that focuses on the sunrise part of the theme:

I stamped it onto watercolour card and coloured it using Arteza water brush pens. They really blend and spread brilliantly. I stamped the greeting and water coloured over that too and then matted it on black and popped it up onto foam pads. I used Versafine Clair ink which I've discovered works brilliantly with water colours, but not so good with alcohol markers.

Supplies:
Stamps: STAMPlorations, New Beginnings
Inks: Versafine Clair, nocturne
Colours: Arteza brush pens
Embellishments: Glosy Accents & Wink of Stella

My second atc is for the lottery event where one lucky pick gets to receive all the cards entered and then hosts the next month's lottery. The theme for July's event is Peacocks.

No photo description available.

I started by using A Colorful Life's Doodle Wheels stencil and three shades of distress oxide ink.

I then found a peacock image from the internet and printed it on paper. I attached the stencilled card over the top of the printed image using temporary adhesive and sent it through the printer again. I finished off by using Copic pens to highlight the peacock and added sparkle and shimmer with Wink of Stella.

Supplies:
Stencil: A Colorful Life, Doodle Wheels
Inks: Ranger distress oxide, peacock feathers, cracked pistachio, mermaid lagoon
Pens: Copic, B04, B29, YG23, C3, BG32; Wink of Stella, clear

Saturday Slot

I've got a bunch of atcs to share today. I made them just for fun and they're up for swapping in the Worldwide ATC group on facebook.

cover photo, Image may contain: night and text

This first set of three uses A Colorful Life stencils -  Spatter, Doodle Wheels & Triangle Fade as a background and silhouette stamps from Clearly Besotted.

It's fun to experiment on a small scale and I really wanted to try out these new to me stencils from A Colorful Life. I used distress oxide inks and then stamped on top with Versafine Clair.

Supplies:
Stamps: Claearly Besotted, Simple Silhouettes, Everything Changes, Good Times
Inks: Versafine Clair, nocturne; Ranger distress oxide, picked raspberry, squeezed lemonade, salty ocean, wilted violet, twisted citron, peacock feathers
Stencils: A Colorful Life, Triangle Fade, Spatter, Doodle Wheels

My next set of cards uses water colours and images from Polkadoodles Stamp Soup sets.

This was my first play, (but not my first post), with these stamps and also the Arteza water brush pens - quite like the results! ATCs are perfect for trying out new ideas as you're only using small pieces of card and it's not such a great disappointment or waste if one or two end up as a bin job.

Supplies:
Stamps: Polkadoodles Stamp Soup In A Frenzy & Magic Garden
Inks: Versamark + white embossing powder; Versafine Clair, nocturne
Pens: Arteza water brush
Stickers: Tim Holtz Idea-ology Small Talk
Gems from my stash

I'm finishing off with a pair of atcs that used STAMPlorations digis. I was so inspired by Deepti's DT post - HERE - and decided to give her idea a try myself.

I made one card where only the butterflies were coloured and then reversed the idea for the second card.
Supplies:
Stamps: STAMPlorations digi, Fluttery Garden
Pens: Copic, C0, C1, C3, C5, C7, Y13, Y18, Y35, Y38 R29, R39

Thanks so much for looking today, I really appreciate you taking the time.

And keep crafting!

Monday Moment

Hi! today I'm sharing some simple atcs I made to exchange with other members of the facebook group ATC Swap with Jodie.  The theme for June is Black & White.

Here they are:

Seems I can't get enough of that Funky Fossil Designs Butterfly set! Love how the partial stamping looks and the detail on the stamps is perfect for a black and white theme.

These two also use Funky fossil Design stamps and I added a little shading to the animals to make them pop even more. Love the faces!

And of course Uniko stamps featured too! I stamped this on one piece of card and then chopped it in half. A few added word stickers and a trio of nuvo drops and I was done.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil Designs, Butterfly wishes, Pugs & Hugs, The quick Brown Fox; Uniko, Marvellous Mehndi
Ink: Versafine Clair, nocturne
Pens: copic, C1, C5
Stickers: Tim Holtz Idea-ology Small Talk
Embellishemnts: Nuvo drops

If you'd like to join and swap atcs I'd recommend this facebook group, lovely friendly people.

Thanks for looking, it's been great to have you drop by.

And keep crafting!

Tuesday Talk

I think I mentioned the other day - HERE - that I'm completely besotted by creating and swapping atc cards at the moment. Well today I thought I'd share some of my February atcs I've made and sent off across the world.

These two use the most incredibly gorgeous girl from Bugaboo digi stamps and some of my favourite purples. The hearts were coated with glossy accents to give dimension and i added tiny gems to the hair strands.

Then my new Visible Image goodies arrived and I was in inky heaven! And look I even broke out from usual colour choices!

These three used up a piece of background card I'd made ages ago using a brayer, a gelly plate and ColorBox ink pads with a liberal sprinkling of watered brusho crystals on top. The images were stamped and heat embossed and a Tim Holtz idea-ology Small Talk sticker added.

The images on the next two were stamped on top of a script stamped piec of card then heat embossed and hand cut. The background was a left over water coloured brusho mix with some distress oxide stencilling on top. The words were stamped and heat embossed.

My final trio of atcs using the fabulous images from Visible Image are a real mix of supplies. the butterflies were stamped, heat embossed and handcut and popped up on foam pads. The background started with a piece of designer paper that I pounced Versamark ink on very gently and heat embossed with black powder.

Then I repeated this pouncing but used Ranger sticky embossing powder and added gold deco foil. This was the beginning of my journey and love of this sticky embossing powder and I can't stop using it now!

And to finish up this February share two more CAS looking cards.

The first card was made for the February Monthly ATC Swap in the fb group Happy ATC. The theme was Spring and I always think Spring has begun when the sun shines and the frogs arrive in my garden pond. The image is from the now closed down Digi Stamp Boutique, but I still love their digis and will continue to use them.

And this card was made for the Happy ATC fb group's February lottery. The theme was LOVE and I used Uniko goodies.

I hugely grateful if you've read down this far on my post. Thanks so much for your visit.

And keep crafting!
