White With 1 Guest Designer

I'm super excited to be here today Guest Designing with White With 1. It's always a pleasure to be asked to Guest with a challenge, but is even more special for me when it's a scrapbooking challenge!

As the name suggests the challenge is all about using mainly white with one given colour. Well for August it was either deep purple, pastel purple or a combo of both. A colour choice from heaven for me then!

And there is also a sketch to follow.

Well a recent trip down to Portsmouth for a college reunion had me discovering a whole new concept in cocktails - yes you've guessed a purple one! So it had to photographed and it had to be scrapped!

So here I am looking rather smug with my parma violet gin and prosecco cocktail down by the harbour in Old Portsmouth with the famous Spinnaker in the background.

I used a white pen for my journalling on the deep purple strip of card stock which I edged in white with a border punch. The flower embellishments are a Uniko stamp and matching die and I also added some hearts and sticker words too.

The hello is a Lawn Fawn die and the puffy today sticker is from a MAMBI planner sheet.
the speech bubbles and circles are die cuts and I inked around their edges with a little distress ink.

Supplies:
Papers: scraps from my stash
Dies: Laewn Fawn, Hello; MFT Die-namics, double stitched circles; Clearly Besotted, speech bubbles
Punch: ek scalloped border
Stamps: Uniko, Beautiful Blooms 1 + matching die
Ink: Memento, grape jelly
Pen: Sakura gelly roll, white
Stickers: MAMBI, Elle's Studio, Paperchase, Tim Holtz Idea-ology

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, I love it when you can find the time to look.

And keep crafting!

Let's Get Sketchy July Guest Designer

I'm super excited and over the moon to be Guest Designing with Let's Get Sketchy this month.

They always have the most fabulous sketches that are so easy to to create with and this month there's also a mood board to inspire.

Here's my page:

I pretty much used the sketch exactly as it is and the mood board helped me choose the colours and the photos - bit of a fun vibe going on. I made my journalling block from a scrap of paper and then stamped the lines and banner flag along with some ink splatters.

The scalloped trim was cut many moons ago for a completely different project, never got used and has been lurking in my stash ever since - see we crafters never throw things away do we?

I added some transparent word stickers to each of the star embellishments and a trio of enamel shapes to each of the embellishment clusters too.

Supplies:
Papers: Scraps from my stash
Stamps: SU, Gorgeous Grunge, PL Point & Click, Perfect Pennants
Ink: Versafine Clair, nocturne
Stickers: Mambi chips; October Afternoon labels; Vivki Boutin sticker book; Elle's Studio puffy hearts; Paperchase puffy hearts
Die: Xcut stars
Enamel dots: Carta Bella, Practically Perfect

Thanks enormously for dropping by today when I'm scrapping! I do so love to create these layouts and then tuck them away in albums, so it's been a wonderful opportunity to share this one with you all.

I know the Let's Get Sketchy DT will have the most amazing layouts to fire up your creativity, check them all out HERE.

And keep crafting!

Tag You're It Guest Designer

I'm super delighted to be here today with my second spot as Guest Designer at Tag You're It.

I love those dainty flowers and the beautiful colours and this tag came together in no time at all.

I stamped and coloured the little girl and then hand cut her. I paper pieced the dress and then added a background tag using the same paper. I thought the flowers and colours really picked up on the challenge graphic. I added a really apt greeting down the side of the top tag.

I popped her up onto foam pads and then added a trio of matching coloured ribbons to tie the two tags together.

Supplies:
Stamps MFT, Love You A bunch
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Die: MFT Die-namics, stitched traditional tags
Pens: Copic, C0, C3, Y18, Y35, YR15, E000, R20, R22, R24, B02, B04, BV01, BV11, RV55, RV63

Will you be playing along with the Tag You're It Challenge? I love creating tags and the challenge creating on a smaller scale provides. Do go check out the DT cards over on the Tag You're It blog - HERE - they're amazing!

Huge thanks for dropping by today, hope you'll come back again soon.

And keep crafting!
