AAA Cards Game 25 - INSPIRE

This week AAA Cards is asking you to be INSPIRED by Halloween.

Such a bold colourful photo with so many aspects to focus on.  I decided to keep my background simple and added texture by using an embossing folder.

Then I wanted to pick up on some of the colours and fun aspect.  So I went with purple and orange to stamp the pumpkins and spider and both were liberally sparkled up with Stickles.

I wanted to echo the 3D look of the inspiration so popped the sparkly pumkins up onto foam and mounted them slightly off centre on top of a repeat stamping.

Finally I added a fun element by attaching the spider to my card with a strip of acetate. This should make the spider jump and move a bit as the card is removed from the envelope. SCARY!!!

Supplies:
Stamps: Clearly Besotted, Fright Night & Halloween Spirit
Inks: SU, pumpkin pie; Memento, grape jelly
Embossing: Cuttlebug folder
Embellishments: Stickles, star dust

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, hope you enjoyed it!

  3. Cool embossing Jane!!! Really cool!! I am really glad to see so many link ups the consensus is that not alot of crafters like making Halloween. I love it!! Black cats, witches, cauldrons, scary goblins, the lot!!!! I can honestly say I have only been frightened if a scary movie once... Why I am sharing this, I am not sure, it just came to mind. My mom is a horror movie fanatic, so a few years back we were going to watch a scary movie together at home. I said, why don't we get ready to be scared... We turned all the lights out. Opened a curtain slightly so it was creepy, and with her in her chair, me on the couch, we wrapped up with a blanket and popcorn... Ohhh this is going to be really scary...it turned out that movie him was darn scary, I had to pop up and shut the shade. ... We laughed.,, but were terrified. I never really knew the thrill of being REALLY scared before.. I guess psyching yourself up was key.. I am pretty low key, so I usually don't get scared..anyway... Have a great rest of the week!!! Weekend comes soon!!!
