Today I'm sharing a page I made for week 4's sketch over at Let's Get Sketchy. It has quite a lot going on so was a real challenge for me!
So my first job was to tackle all those squares. I decided to stamp using an outine label in some colours picked up from my chosen photograph. Some of them I stamped using second generation ink to give an even softer feel. Then I added a small daffodil stamp to all the dark grey labels.
My journalling tells the story behind the photograph. You wouldn't believe the curfuffle this caused! It seemed such a good idea and so simple - well it seems babies have a mind of their own and my son, ever protectful of his son, soon said enough.
And a closer look at one of the embellishment clusters and stamping. I die cut the title letters as I wanted them to match the photo matt.
And here is my little treasure mid roll and grabbing a whole bunch of daffodils!
Supplies:
Paper: Chatterbox, Scrapbook Walls light denim; Lilybee design, Pinwheel lemonade stand
Stamps: Jenny Bowlin, labels; Penny Black, a bunch
Inks: SU, daffodil delight, pear pizzazz, soft sky, smoky slate
Dies: Avery Elle, pinked; Xcut, spiro circles
Embellishments: Doodlebug, mini pearls Spring asst.
Thanks for your time today, I do appreciate your visit to my blog.
And keep crafting!
What a beautiful layout - the stamped squares create a lovely background for your photo. Very clever!
