Let's December Daily Days 25 - 28

http://letsdecemberdaily.blogspot.com/2016/12/janes-days-25-28.html

It may be New Year's Eve, but today I'm sharing my Christmas Day pages over at Let's December Daily. And here's some little peeks of what can be found there and a few extra photos too.

Day 25

Day 26

Day 27

Day 28
The first of a bonus extra few days with the Isle of Man grandboys - nope not the ferry or weather this year but their car. My son had to fly back for work, leaving Jo and the boys here until their car has been towed away to the garage to be mended. Every cloud has a silver lining.

Thanks for dropping by today, so pleased to have your company.  And keep crafting!

AAA Cards - #80 Silver

Is it chilly where you are? Or are you basking in the sunshine? Well whatever the weather I'm sure you'll be able to use the new challenge theme from AAA Cards.

http://aaacards.blogspot.com/2016/12/cas-game-80-silver.html

And to me the image looked all frosty and cold, so that's what I went with.

First up I created a wintery looking background with distress inks. I was aiming for early morning when the branches of trees are covered in hoar frost and the moon is still in the sky.

The tree and word were stamped and heat embossed in silver and I added a silver card strip down the left hand side. The photo below shows up the silver embossing more clearly.

Supplies:
Stamps: Visible Image, Four Every Season
Inks: Versafine; Ranger distress, shaded lilac, frayed burlap
Embossing: Ranger superfine, silver
Embellishments: Crafter's Companion, spray & sparkle, iridescent

This is the last 2016 AAA Cards challenge and we're letting it run for three weeks to give all the DT time to celebrate the season. But we'll be back! On January 8th in fact.

Thanks for your time today. I hope all your preparations are going to plan and you'll have time to relax and chill and enjoy.  I'm sending you Christmas sparkle to help you on your way!

Let's December Daily - Days 10 -13

My next four pages are up on the Let's December Daily blog today. Here's a taster:

Day 10

Day 11

Day 12

 Day 13

My day 10 page is all about the tags I made using my new 2016 colours. This is how I went about making them:

I collected together all my supplies -  aqua and dotted green cardstock, an array of washi tape and a tag die.

I cut strips from the card a little wider than the die, drew a line where the top and bottom of the die would be and then added the washi across so that there would be four strips per tag.

I die cut all the tags and piled them up and punched the holes using my crop-a-dile.

I stamped the Merry Christmas greeting and added some brown twine. All three main colours plus the red on each tag, YAY!

Hope you enjoyed my post today and will pop on over to Let's December Daily to check out the rest of my album pages.

Thanks so much for visiting. And I'm sending you Christmas sparkle!

The Memory Nest - Make It Monday #78

The last 2016 sketch challenge at The Memory Nest begins today and it's a chance to use more than one photo on a page.

http://thememorynest.blogspot.com/2016/11/make-it-monday-no-78.html

I always include a a page about Autumn colours in my yearly album - I think, no I know, Autumn is my favourite season.

I started my page by cutting the triangular element from the sketch and stamping leaves all over it in Autumn colours and attached it to the background solid paper. Then I matted my photos and adhered them on top.

I added some stickers that I've had in my stash for ever and finally remembered to use and popped the title along the slant of the stamped panel. The finishing touch was to splatter inks in a diagonal from top left to bottom right - maybe gives a sense of the leaves moving.

Supplies:
stamps: Uniko, Nature's Treasures II
Inks: Kaleidacolor, creole spice; Ranger distress, brushed corduroy; Mister Huey's Color Mists, dark calico, sunshine
Alphas: Dear Lizzy thickers; Simple Stories, So Rad
Stickers: AC, remarks accents & phrases book
Embellishments: Freckled Fawn, enamel dew drops

It seems strange to see these Autumn colours on my screen now that everything is all Christmassy, but that's the nature of scrapbooking, got to live it before you can scrap it!

Do go over to The Memory Nest to be inspired by the rest of the DT's interpretation of this sketch and then I hope to see your pages - or cards - in the gallery.

Thanks for your time today, I really appreciate your visit. And I'm sending Christmas sparkle!
