I've chosen some really bold and vibrant colours to keep in the party mood!
Supplies:
Stamps: HLS, Mix Mash

Die: MFT Die-namics, stitched basic edges
Here's my question to win a Stampendous Happy Flowers stencil and a Uniko Background Blocks Halftone stamp:
So far this year my favourite AAA Cards Challenge has been the Oscar Red Carpet theme because it was so exciting to visit blogs and discover the dresses that inspired the cards. What's been your favourite theme for a challenge, doesn't have to be AAA Cards, and why?
Off you go now round the rest of the AAA Cards DT birthday celebration posts - remember to answer their questions and also for another chance to win leave a comment on the challenge blog too! - HERE

Thanks for visiting today and good luck with your winning a prize quest - keeping my fingers crossed for you!
Love how you've used the die on your card and the one rounded corner! Favourite challenge theme (I have to say I did like the AAA Oscars red carpet one too) was probably the Paris Rain photo inspiration at Fusion because it really challenged me to try a different technique on my card. That was what I liked about the Oscars red carpet one too, made me try masking and using a pattern stencil to fill in an image. Love when a challenge really challenges! Thanks for the chance at winning (c:
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, love your colourful stamping and that die is now on my 'need' list ;)
ReplyDeleteMy favourite type of challenge is a sketch, I rarely make a card without one to inspire me!
Congratulations!!! Mij favourite challenge is a sketch.
ReplyDeleteOoozing party fever here Jane with those wonderful bold colours in a geometric design. I'd have to agree with you on the Oscar red carpet challenge - that's a winner. Have a fun week x
ReplyDeleteSuch happy colors Jane, I love the mix mash set a lot, and the layout is simply gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI looked at your card Jans.. and admired how simple yet what great thoughts would have gone into of mixing geometric patterns! Love it! My favourite Challenge was Shiny spring.. firstly because it was the first time I got to know about a CAS card and then made a CAS card for that challenge.. It was a challenge and brainstorming and a memory in my card making journey!
ReplyDeleteI love challenging myself by combining different challenges together and making a great card (not just a card). Every time I try to think outside the box ... for the things that go round I didn't use wheels or CDs ... I used a stamp of the Earth. But my favourite challenges are geometrical ones (and CAS, of course).
ReplyDeleteRegards from Slovenia, Maja
Gorgeous card. The single red chevron is striking. I love sketch challenges and CAS. Hugz
ReplyDeleteLove to watercolor a few weeks now, so that challenge is a favorite. Didn't participate by than, but if it comes again I would. Love your card.
ReplyDeleteI love sketch challenges as long as they are CAS. They give the creative juices a jump start :-)
ReplyDeleteMy fav challenges are CAS challenges and I also like bday and thank you challenges because it helps me build my stash of bday cards! Love your card, it's so cheerful and happy!
ReplyDeletePretty card, Jane! My favorite challenges are one layer CAS challenges, especially when combined with a theme that I like - like geometric stuff. Or unusual challenges for that matter.
ReplyDeleteLove your bright and colourful card, Jane. So beautifully CAS and gender-neutral.
ReplyDeleteI have so many favourite challenges, so it's hard to pick one. However, AAA's
Oscar challenge sticks out in mbd. Not only because you mentioned it, but because it was so unique. So I guess my favourite types of challenges are theme ones. The more creative they are the better.
beautiful card :) love the vibrant colors! my favorite theme is usually anything goes since it keeps things open ended but specifically I loved playing along with the AAA bright and beautiful challenge, the colors were so exciting, vibrant and fresh :)
ReplyDeleteCool, crisp and graphic, Jane ... with a fabulous touch of playfulness in those fun, vibrant colours! I love a colour challenge ... gives me the chance to use a palette I would never have considered otherwise! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteJane, great bright graphic card! I am lovin' it. Thank you so much for organising such a great event. Mine was also Oscar Red Carpet. Surprised? But it was so feminine and gorgeous ;) - Sweet Kobylkin
ReplyDeletePretty card! I love that angle from the MFT die, and the color combo!
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing the die cut challenge! I love incorporating die cuts on my cards, and always great to get some different ideas!
Thanks for having me as GD, great to be with you for this and congrats on being 3! Love the strong colours here and bold design x
ReplyDeleteLovely card, Jane. I like all challenges but love the sketches:)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, Jane! I love the colors you chose :) My favorite challenges tend to be sketches. They help me frame my ideas.
ReplyDeleteI like any challenge that motivates me to make cards, especially birthday cards because I give so many away. With two little girls, we have lots of birthday parties to attend. Your card design is so modern and fun.
ReplyDeleteI loved your card ,the colors and design make it a happy one :) I love all challenges and color challenges being a bit more fav :)
ReplyDeleteOh, these are happy birthday cards all right..love the fun colors and design. As for my favorite challenge, it would be anything goes challenges because it lets me go with whatever mood I'm in!
ReplyDeleteVery Pretty CAS card....
ReplyDeleteI really like the design of your card! Thanks for the inspiration. As for a favorite challenge - I recently participated in one that asked you to include images on your card, that start with the first initial of your first name! How clever is that? My first name starts with the letter -B-, which made it tons of fun. I had over 13 images (balloons, bees, birthday cake....) tucked into my A2 card.
ReplyDeleteI love the cute design of your card as well as the bright, happy colors.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite challenges this year have been to make a Christmas card! I was sort of upset last year that I didn't get as many cards made as I wanted by the time Christmas was upon us, so these challenges will help me reach my goal this coming Christmas/holiday to have many more. :-)
Such a happy card! My favorite type of challenge is color challenges because it makes use colors I might not usually use.
ReplyDeleteLove your card design and colors. I like theme challenges such as include a piece of fabric, balloons, sweets or travel related. I love to see what the DT comes up with for inspiration.

ReplyDeleteOooo! I just love your crisp, bright card!!! My favorite challenge theme has got to be masculine - because I don't do enough masculine cards, and a challenge with this theme encourages me to stretch my creativity :)
ReplyDeleteSusan
LOVE LOVE LOVE this clean and clear card even with the colours it's just stunning. xx[aNNie]
ReplyDeleteLove the bold look to your card and pretty too happy birthday AAA. I don't have favourite themes for challenges as I often make a card I need and then see what challenges it will fit into, if I am stuck with a card I need to make I look at the different challenges out there and see if anything sparks my imagination and as a last resort will look for a sketch challenge as a starting point.
ReplyDeleteLovely colours and I really like how the solid colour peeks through and brings the card together.
ReplyDeleteThis is my first AAA blog hop as a participant! I'm having so much fun along the way. I definitely need to make a point to stop by more often. CAS cardmaking has always been a challenge for me but I've made it a goal this year to work at it and not FEAR it, lol. My favorite theme is probably anything goes. I love to watercolor so I do a lot of that and it's not restrictive, but freeing to me. I love the clean lines and geometric style of your card, Jane. Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving me some love on my linked up project!
ReplyDeleteLove your birthday card - such a fabulous pop of colour.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite theme has to be 'die-cuts' - I love seeing how people use them in different ways.
xxx
What a colourful and joyful card, Jane ! Love the colours and the CAS design ! When I started to enter challenges, the worse challenge was to make a OLC, I found it so difficult not to add a layer of something ! But over the time, looking at all the different blogs and all the wonderful cards, I learned how to add dimension to an OLC and I think it has become my favourite challenge because it is still a challenge!
ReplyDeleteI love colors- so festive! I liked that Oscar challenge too - it was unusual to combine red carpet bloom and CAS rules :)
ReplyDeleteLoved your eye-catching card when I first spotted it on Instagram Jayne! CAS to the max and such a fabulous contemporary look with the sharp angle complementing those circles. Bold, bright and really beautiful! I'm always inspired by card challenge themes that are a little different - like your red carpet one ( which I was gutted not to have the time to enter) or like one we did at LIM last year about what you could see from your window. That kind of thing always gets the creative juices going! Congrats on the AAA Cards birthday, and thank you for your inspiration xx
ReplyDeleteSorry Jane - I slipped into the way my sister's name is spelt there! (Blush)
DeleteAbsolutely brilliant. My heart just sings when I see Mix Mash used like this. Your card is bright, happy, and fun!! xx
ReplyDeleteI love the angled panels and the bright colors of your card, Jane. I think my favorite challenges are word cues. They are open to wide interpretation.
ReplyDeleteThis birthday card is so cheery and full of life!! You colors are just perfect!! I think my favorite challenges would have to be the male themed cards. I use enough feminine elements on my cards. It is nice to change it up every now and then. Which makes sense since, I too, am on The Male Room DT team... So much to visit you... And again awesome card!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a contemporary and fun colours. Love the layout and the vibrant colours. I enjoy all challenges and love to be pushed so anything out of my comfort zone is good for me x I struggle with sketch challenges but enjoy them as they push me to create something I wouldn't already do x
ReplyDeleteLove the beautiful, bright colors of your card. The pink stripe is really striking. My favorite challenge so far is a bit tough, there are so many interesting ones! I really loved the Freshly Made Sketches challenge #288 by Jen M. The sketch was great and had many possibilities.
ReplyDeleteFabulous card Jane, LOVE the super CAS design and lovely cheery colours. My favourite challenge this year was AAA Cards #89 'Bright & Beautiful' as I do love cheerful colours and loved the inspiration and ideas from the DT xx
ReplyDeleteLove the fun, bright colors of your lovely CAS card!! I love playing in challenges of all kinds especially sketch challenges like Mojo Monday ones!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun and bright card! I enter a lot of challenges and it's very difficult to chose a favourite! I do enjoy ones that provide an image as inspiration - it can be very fun to come up with different ways of interpreting them.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card Jane, the colours on the card just pop! I love the challenges at CAS Mix up as its always a challenge to make a CAS card using different mediums, and I also learnt so many new techniques from their video tutorials.
ReplyDeleteoo, I just love your design, so bright and cheerful.
ReplyDeleteI love making cards with sketches.
