The new challenge at AAA Cards is all about the fun we try to have in the Summer. Now this could be down on the beach, Summery foods, out in the garden or any other Summer pastime that you consider to be fun.
Looking through my stamps I came across this one of a flying kite and it took me back to many times when my boys were young and we tried with varying amounts of success to get a kite up in the air. so that was my starting point.
And then I looked out of the window and the colours of the evening sky really caught my eye. So I made a rectangular mask using a die and sponged on some distress inks trying to simulatewhat I'd seen.
The stamp was added on top and a simple sentiment to echo the fun was chosen. I finished off with a tiny heart.
Supplies:
Stamps: SU, Happy Home
Inks: Verasmark, clear; Ranger distress, picked raspberry, mustard seed, spiced marmalade, blueprint sketch, cracked pistachio; Memento, tuxedo black
Embossing: Ranger Superfine, black
Embellishment: SU, enamel heart emerald envy
