Here in the UK holidays means a vacation and not so much Christmas, Easter etc. So I went with a beach theme for my card:
I started by die cutting the stitched rectangle and then stamped the images. I chose some bright summery primary colours. I think the beach hut is so iconic to UK beaches and flip flops are a holiday essential!
I then picked some stripy paper to mat the base card onto - sort of reminded me of all the deckchairs and beach shop canopies - and raised the die cut rectangle with some funky foam.
Supplies:
Stamps: Clearly Besotted, On The Beach
Inks: SU, tempting turquoise, real red, daffodil delight; Memento, tuxedo black
Die: MFT Dienamics, double stitched rectanges
So pleased to have had your company today, thanks so much for dropping by.
And keep crafting!
This is a great card Jane - stamp set now on my {ever growing} wish list!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fabulous clean, modern design and I totally agree about the stripey background paper, definitely reminds me of deck chairs!! So cool how the images have the stripes thru them too and the colours really pop against all the lovely, crisp white. So glad you shared this with us at TIME OUT!
ReplyDeleteHow funny Jane -for some reason I've always thought you live in the States, not in UK! Well, now I now better! :) I love this card, it's so cute... The images have retro feel which I love and the stripes in the bg add so much interest. Thanks for joining us at TIME OUT!
