Funky Fossil May Release - Introducing Making Waves Stamps & Papers & Ocean Frame Die

 Hello!

So pleased you stopped by today to take a peep at the final day of introductions to Funky Fossil's May release.

Well these papers along with the Urban Vibes papers are just to die for aren't they? So gorgeous I've already been using them in earlier introductions.

I'm kicking off with a card that uses the mermaid, fish and starfish images from Making Waves. The stone that the mermaid is sitting on is from Ditsy Dinos.

First I stamped the images and then masked them off before creating some little circles of background colour suspended from the top of the card to look like baubles. I added just a little grey colour to define the images.

My next card uses the Urban Vibes paper pad and the gorgeous Ocean Frame die - just so awesome!

I added some fish to the card using the Fish Background stencil before attaching the wreath and popped up the hand cut mermaid on pads to sit on the left hand side - isn't she glam?

This next card couldn't be more simple. I found a piece of the Making Waves Collage paper that I loved and just trimmed it to size before adding a sentiment cut using the Ransom Notes dies and a stamped sentiment from Coral Reef.

My next card also uses the Urban Vibes paper cut into wavy edges using the Edges die set.

I then added a title using the negative left over pieces from the last card and chose the cheeky flirty mermaid as she sort of matched the saucy sentiment.

My final card is very CAS and I've stamped the cute little boat from Making Waves onto a scrap of the Urban Vibes paper. I then created some waves for it to sit on using the Scenic Borders stencil.

That completes all the introductions to the May release.

Once again Sarah has put together a complete mix of wonderful products so I'm sure there's been something amongst them to appeal to everyone of you. Or are you like me and just love them all?

Everything will be in the Funky Fossil online store from tomorrow at 9.00am UK time. I've a few more samples to share then too, so if you've not quite made your mind up yet maybe I'll see you then.

Thanks so much for your time today.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

Funky Fossil May Release - Introducing Coral Reef & Coral Reef Dies

 Hello!

Just two more days of introductions to Funky Fossil's May release left. And both days have a sea theme, but in very different styles.

So today the stamp set and dies are more mainstream and absolutely gorgeous for building scenes.

My first card uses an inky background and the new A7 Sea Life stamp from this release.

I then stamped the turtle, sea horses and shoal of fish from Coral Reef on top and added in some seaweed using the Coral Reef dies.

A bit of white highlighting and some clear gems completed this card.

My next card started with the large Coral Reef stamp embossed in some sparkling embossing powder Cloud 9 from WOW!

I then inked up the background colours and added in some extra coral at the top and bottom using just parts of the large stamp.

One of the sea horses and the shoals of fish completed the scene.

My last card for today is a bit more funky and contemporary. It uses some waves and an image from the Making Waves paper pad being introduced properly tomorrow. I also stamped the turtle onto this paper and had cut it - just love the multi coloured effect this gives.

I've added in some background interest using the A7 Sea Life stamp and the Coral Reef dies. the greeting was cut using the Ransom Notes dies.

So that's today all wrapped up. More sea life coming up tomorrow, but with a more cute take on the theme. Hope to see you then.

Thanks for dropping by and stay safe and keep crafting!

Funky Fossil May Release - Introducing Ditsy Dinos

 Hello!

Today's introduction to Funky fossil's May release is a super cute dinosaur stamp set. One of donna's absolute treasures for sure!

For my first card I created a tropical background using some left over strips of the Making Waves collage paper - introducing this pad tomorrow - and then die cutting it into a hill placed at the bottom of a sky coloured card front.

The dinos are coloured up in bright fun shades inspired by the paper.

Next I created an interactive card - just thought dinos need to move a bit! I used orange card stock and an Urban Vibes paper and added the rawr using the Ransom Notes dies.

My final card for today is a really sweet welcome to the world baby card. How versatile are the Ditsy Dinos stamps?!

Are you smitten? Thought you might be!

Be sure to check back in tomorrow for the next introduction. A stamp set and a die set for those underwater scenes!

Thanks for looking. Stay safe and keep crafting!

Funky Fossil May Release - Introducing Urban Vibes, Cityscape, Urban Vibes Paper & Ransom Notes Dies

 Hello!

Are you ready for some awesome colours today?

The most amazing papers and stamps are being introduced as part of the Funky Fossil May release. Perfect for those pesky teenager cards!

I'm starting with theA7 sk8r stamp and Halloween inspired colours. I used the Make Your Mark III stencil and Alpha Numeric stencil on the purple background card and then stamped the sk8r onto orange.

My next card uses the Rock Star stencil and the grungy hearts from Urban vibes. a simple CAS card and just up my oldest son's street.

I saw a torn paper inked card on Instagram and and was inspired to give it a go myself. The skater silhouette was then stamped straight on top. Really loving how this card turned out.

In fact I loved the look so much that I used it again in some hot sunset colours for my next card.

My final share for today uses the Cityscape stamp heat embossed and then an inked up background applied on top. The sentiment is from Urban Vibes.

Thank you so much for dropping by today. I'll be back tomorrow with a fabulous stamp set designed by Donna Gray - you know already that you will adore it!

Stay safe and keep crafting!

Funky Fossil May Release - Introducing Lovebirds & Door Die

 Hello!

Today's intro to the Funky Fossil May release is a stamp set designed by Tina Ashton - just love her beautifully drawn images and delicate style.

I'm kicking off with the Door die. I applied lines of the washi tape (included in this release) to card and then die cut the patterned door. I lined this with some purple vellum and added a little beauty of a mermaid inside. She is coming later this week - bit of a sneak peek for you!

My next card uses the stamp set and features Prismacolor pencils on coloured cardstock - would you believe it's purple?

This stamp set is just perfect for all those romantic wedding or anniversary cards that you need to make. For my second card I've used the Doodle Bloom die to create an aperture for the love heart birds sit on top of. I then hand cut the sprig of blossom to place just under them.

My final card is monochromatic using the Copic BVs to colour it up. I think this is my favourite of the three.

That's a wrap for today. Tomorrow is a vibrant mix of funky and trendy papers, stamps and dies. Hope to see you then.

Thanks for looking today.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

Funky Fossil May Release - Introducing Zip It Gang

 Hello!

It's the first day of introductions to Funky Fossil's May release. And it's a really fun stamp set to get the intros rolling.

There are some really vibrant and awesome paper pads included in this release and I used one from the Urban Vibes pad along with the Graffiti Wall stencil to create a backdrop for one of the Zip It Gang characters.

I am really taken by the 'My lips are sealed' sentiment and wanted it to take centre stage of my next card. So I cut a simple lips stencil from paper and inked it up in luscious pinks then stamped the smaller zip straight across it and the sentiment above.

My last share for today pairs up a rainbow coloured vertical accent using the Stacked Lines stencil and another of the Zip IT Gang characters. He looks a bit sheepish don't you think,  as if he's blushing from a compliment.

So that concludes day one's shares, plenty more to come over the next few days!

Thanks so much for dropping by.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

Uniko BA Inspiration

 Hello!

Today I'm sharing a birthday card I created using Uniko's Pure Florals Rose as a focal point on top of a inked background diamond.

I started by creating a stencil from paper using a square die to create the aperture. I then placed this over the card top and inked through with two shades of distress oxide ink - kitsch flamingo & festive berries.

Before removing the stencil I used the Background Blocks Solid Wonky Stripes stamp placed to one side and stamped it using nocturne Versafine Clair ink.

Next I stamped the smaller outline rose from Pure Florals Rose and cut it out by hand. I popped it up onto foam pads and then attached it on top of the inky diamond. I really love the look of Bev's florals without colour, I think it really showcases the fine detail.

The sentiment is from Simply Said Blocks and to finish it all off I matted the whole thing onto a slightly larger card base.

Thanks you so much for looking today, I really appreciate you taking the time.

Stay safe and keep crafting!
