Saturday Spot

Another card created for the times we live in a the moment. This one is going into two challenges - STAMPlorations Stencil and CAS Stencil.

Here's my card:

I used the Funky Fossil World View stencil and applied Flitter Glu through it. Then I added Chocolate Box gilding flakes, rubbed them down and then carefully lifted the stencil.

I didn't have a suitable sentiment so I made my own on the computer and added along the bottom of the card.

Supplies:
Gilding Flakes: Indigo Blu, Chocolate Box, Indigo Blu, Flitter Glu
Die: Lil'inker, stitched mats rectangles

Huge thanks for your time today, I'm so pleased you came by my blog.

Keep safe, stay home and craft instead!

Wednesday Words

Today I'm joining in with the challenge at CAS Stencil with the beautiful new Funky Fossil Butterfly Breast Cancer Ribbon stencil brought out to coincide with October's Breast Cancer month of awareness.

Here's my card:

I chose a pretty pinky purple piece of patterned paper and taped the stencil on top. I then inked through with seedless preserves distress oxide ink. I stamped the line of uplifting words from CAS-ual Fridays across the bottom of the patterned paper. I matted it onto a white card base and resisted the temptation to add anything further - this is a CAS card after all!

Supplies:
Stencil: Funky Fossil, Butterfly Breast Cancer Ribbon
Stamp: CAS-ual Fridays,Truth Is
Inks: Ranger distress oxide, seedless preserves; Versafine Clair, nocturne
Paper: Hobbycraft, Watercolours

Thanks so much for dropping by today, it's been so much fun to have you visit. And keep crafting!

Friday Focus

Today I'm sharing a card that I made using a new to me idea for a stencil which is the theme of the challenge at CAS Stencil.

Here's my card:

I used the Light Loops stencil from A Colorful Life which is a 3" x 6" size and sprayed through it with some watered down ultramarine brusho that had dried up and needed wetting again. Then to add more colour I mixed in some fresh purple powder to the bottle and sprayed through the stencil a second time. And got in a bit of a mess - nothing new there when I use Brusho inks!

So after a clean up and giving the ink time to dry out I trimmed it all down leaving the spatter that occurred on either side of the stencil - you can tell from this the sort of mess I got into! I then stamped a greeting both sides of the stencil pattern, added a dark purple strip and called it done.

Supplies:
Stamps: Greeting from Uniko, Pure Florals Cosmos
Inks: Brusho, ultramrine, purple; Versafine Clair, nocturne
Stencil: A Colorful Life, Light Loops

Thursday Thoughts

Just squeezing a card into the challenge at CAS Stencil!

I have a huge stack of patterned paper pads that don't get used nowhere near enough so today's card is a tiny step to rectifying that.

I chose a paper that looked like it was a meadow with hills and sky and then placed an ARTplorations flower stencil on top. I used distress oxides to ink through and made sure there was a good layer of ink as the background greens are quite dark. I was really excited when I lifted the stencil and saw the result!

I then die the panel into a smaller stitched rectangle, added a sentiment and matted the whole thing onto a dark green card base.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Birthday Sentiments
Inks: Ranger distress oxide, squeezed lemonade, picked raspberry, wilted violet; Versafine Clair, nocturne
Die: Lil'inker, stitched mats rectangles

Thanks so much for dropping by my blog today, you know I always love to have you visit.

And keep crafting!
