Thursday Thoughts

Today I'm sharing the card I created for the STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge.

I had someone in mind when I chose the products for this card.

I know they love Scotland and this Geometric Stag stencil jumped out of my stash. I inked through it with black as I wanted it to look very dramatic and imposing. Then before I lifted the stencil I added sparkle using a Wink of Stella pen.

A simple sentiment from Festive Phrases and I was done.

Here's a closer pic to show the sparkle.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Festive Phrases
Stencil: Funky Fossil, Geometric Stag
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black; Wink of Stella, clear

Huge thanks for stopping by today. I really appreciate you taking the time.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

Saturday Spot

Today I'm playing along with the Always Anything Goes Stencil challenge at STAMPlorations.

Here's my card:

I've been using the Tracey Hey Wreath Rascals stamp set the last couple of days and one of the things that really attracts me to her stamps, apart from the cute images, are her amazing sentiments. I think that this particular one and the Funky Fossil Alien Invasion stencil are a match made in heaven!

I place the stencil carefully to allow space for the sentiment and masked off the bits that would encroach on this space too much. Then I used three colours of distress inks to create the scene. I finished off by stamping the sentiment and matting the whole thing onto a purple card base. What other colour would I use I hear you thinking!

Supplies:
Stamps: Tracey Hey, Wreath Rascals
Inks: Ranger distress, wilted violet, cracked pistachio, blueprint sketch; Versafine Clair, nocturne

I'm so pleased that you had time to stop by today, thanks so much for your company.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

Tuesday Talk

Today I'm sharing a card that I created for my football crazy grandson and as I used a stencil it's going into the challenge at STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge.

Here's my card:

I used the Funky Fossil Footballers stencil and inked through it in dark blue. I think this is the main colour of the team he supports, but I'm never sure as they always seem to have so many different kits these days. So that's why I chose a bright rainbow patterned paper background - I surely must have got at least one of the colours correct!

I chose a block sentiment from Uniko and matted the whole thing onto a dark blue card base.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Simply Said Blocks
Inks: SU, night of navy
Stencil: Funky Fossil, Footballers
Paper: Sunny Studio, Preppy Prints
Die: MFT Die-namics, double stitched rectangle stax

Thanks so much for looking, it's been a pleasure to have your company for a while.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

Saturday Spot

Another card created for the times we live in a the moment. This one is going into two challenges - STAMPlorations Stencil and CAS Stencil.

Here's my card:

I used the Funky Fossil World View stencil and applied Flitter Glu through it. Then I added Chocolate Box gilding flakes, rubbed them down and then carefully lifted the stencil.

I didn't have a suitable sentiment so I made my own on the computer and added along the bottom of the card.

Supplies:
Gilding Flakes: Indigo Blu, Chocolate Box, Indigo Blu, Flitter Glu
Die: Lil'inker, stitched mats rectangles

Huge thanks for your time today, I'm so pleased you came by my blog.

Keep safe, stay home and craft instead!

Sunday Slot

Today I'm sharing a card I created to play along with the Stencil Challenge at STAMPlorations.

Here's my card:

I started by creating a background using two Funky Fossil stencils - Treadplate and Abstract Bamboo Background. I chose some bright contrasting distress ink colours and then die cut the panel using a double stitched MFT die.

The images and greeting are from Funky Fossil's Adventure stamp set and I simply stamped them straight on top of the distress ink background. One of the reasons I chose to use distress ink rather than distress oxide ink is because it is easier to stamp on top of, the oxide ink is much more opaque.

I finished off by matting the panel onto black and then onto a white card base.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Adventure
Inks: Ranger distress, blueprint sketch, lucky clover; Versafine Clair, nocturne
Stencils: Funky Fossil, Treadplate, Abstract Bamboo Background
Die: MFT Die-namics, double stitched rectangle stx

Thanks so much for your time today, I'm so pleased you came to visit my blog.

Keep safe, stay home and craft!

Friday Focus

Today I'm playing along with the STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge.

Here's my card:

I used Brusho powder and Funky Fossil's Geo Flowers stencil on watercolour paper. I love how vibrant the Brusho colours are and have a couple more prints from this inking stowed away for future projects. But for today's card I chose to use the boldest first spray and simply matted it onto black card and stamped and hand cut a greeting from Uniko's Birthday Sentiments.

Supplies:
Inks: Brusho, leaf green, yellow, crimson; Versafine Clair, nocturne

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, I really appreciate you taking the time.

And keep crafting!

Tuesday Talk

Today I'm sharing a card I created to enter the challenge at STAMPlorations.

Here's my card:

I used the Moroccan Mandela stencil from Funky Fossil and three colours of distress inks. Because the size of this stencil is scary for me and I wanted my card to be CAS I set it off the edge of the card before inking it up. Loving the blend of distress inks!

I then stamped a simple Uniko sentiment on top in black and matted the card onto a black card base.

Supplies:
Stamp: Uniko, All Occasion Sentiments #6
Stencil: Funky Fossil, Moroccan Mandela
Inks: Ranger distress, mustard seed, spiced marmalade, picked raspberry

Thanks so much for dropping by today, it's been fun to have you visit my blog.

And keep crafting!

Thursday Thoughts

Today I'm adding to my Christmas card stash and playing along at STAMPlorations Stencil Challenge at the same time.

Here's my card:

I've used the beautiful Funky Fossil Elegant Tree stencil and some very chunky embossing powder from WOW! Loving how gloriously raised and sumptuous this looks.

I kept everything very simple and just added a greeting from Uniko and then matted it onto a black base card.

Supplies:
Stencil: Funky Fossil, Elegant Tree
Stamp: Uniko, greeting from Most Wonderful
Inks: Versamark + WOW! Black Magic embossing powder; Versafine Clair, noctutrne

Thanks for looking today, it's been so much fun to have you visit.
