CAS Colours & Sketches #164

Today sees the start of my second challenge as hostess at CAS Colours & Sketches this month. And this time it's a sketch.

http://cascoloursandsketches.blogspot.com/2016/03/challenge-164-sketch.html

When I created this sketch I always planned to stamp off the edge of the square, it was just a case of choosing a suitable stamp.

I'm really loving this new Stampin' Up stamp set - it reminds me so much of the sketches from Winnie-the-Pooh books.

I'm still milking that one rounded corner at the bottom of my cards - seems my hand just stretches out for the corner rounder punch automatically!

Supplies:
Stamps: SU, Happy Home
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Card: SU, mint macaron
Promarkers: soft green, cool grey 1

Have you seen what the rest of the DT have made using this sketch? Here's the link to CC&S just in case.

Great to have you visit today and spend a bit of time with me here on my blog. Come again soon!

And keep crafting!

  1. I love how the image flows from the square onto the base card, beautifully done. I really enjoyed this sketch too. Hugs Bev x

  2. Now you say it, yes the images are reminiscent of Winnie Pooh! Love the simplicity of yr card and how the kite flows into the BG. I like rounded corners too! They just add that extra bit of interest x

  4. I love it! And I love your trademark corner, by the way! So clever to send your kite flying and the dog running off the square, it works perfectly. Caro x

  6. I can't believe that I hadn't realised the similarity to the Winnie-the-Pooh illustrations. It's now so obvious! I love the card and the touches of mint macaron. Liz x

  7. You're right - the scene does resemble something from the original, classic Winnie the Pooh stories (as opposed to the Disney version!). I like how your little scene extends outside of the square. Very cute card!
