The Male Room - Challenge #31

Already time to be thinking about Easter, how quickly the year progresses! Although for children waiting for their chocolate eggs maybe it doesn't! Any way today at The Male Room begins an Easter themed challenge.

http://themaleroomchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2016/03/challenge-31-theme.html

My card was made with my youngest grandson in mind and I chose Clearly Besotted's cute but cheeky - just like he is - chicks peeping out through circular windows.

I started by punching the windows and then used them as a guide along with my misti to position the chick stamps on the background card. And they were so much fun to colour!

I stamped the sentiment on the window card before using a piece of funky foam to raise it slightly. Loving the dimension and shadows this gives. Oh and that one curved corner to echo the the circular windows - and just because I'm hooked on this at the moment.

Supplies:
Stamps: Clearly Besotted, Chirpy chick
Inks: SU, pumpkin pie, Memento, tuxedo black
Pens: Pigma Micron 005; Promarkers, cool grey 1, ivory, buttercup, tulip yellow, mustard, burnt orange

The rest of The Male Room's DT have been busy creating Easter cards. Go see them here and then get your thinking cap on to produce your Easter themed project suitable for the men in your life.

Thanks for dropping by today and spending some time looking at my blog.  And keep crafting!

  4. The foam was a brilliant idea. I love the dimension it gives as well. Those chicks are adorable and I love the touch of white that you've added to each of them. Such a great idea to stamp them in red before coloring. LOVE it!
