Happy Little Stampers New Release Blog Hop

I'm so excited to have you drop by my blog today as I'm joining in with The Happy Little Stampers new release blog hop.

http://www.happylittlestampers.com/2018/02/new-release-blog-hop.html

Take a look at the new sets - you are going to LOVE them!

I'm sharing cards I made with three of these amazing stamp sets and I can honestly say they've been an absolute joy to work with.

First up is the wonderfully different Born To Be Wild:

I used a scrap of vibrant abstract patterned paper to stamp both the zebra and a greeting from this set. I adhered them flat onto a black card base to really help the colours pop and keep it flat for posting.

Supplies:
Stamps: HLS, Born to be Wild
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Paper: SU

My next card uses the equally impsing lioness head from the same set. I used a kaleidacolor multi coloured ink pad to stamp it - loving the ombre tones this achieved.

I placed a circle mask over the head and then gently inked some hot African inspired colours all around.  This card was matted onto a pearlescent mustardy orange base card.

I stamped the greeting onto the same pearlescent card using Staz On ink as the surface is shiny. I die cut it into a flag and added an enamel dot to finish off.

Supplies:
STamps: HLS, Born to be Wild
Ink: Kaleidacolor, Cappuccino Delight; Ranger distress, mustard seed, spiced marmalde, picked raspberry; Staz On, timber brown
Die: MFT Die-namics, stitched fishtail flag
Card: pearlescent
Embellishment: Sparklet enamel dot

My next card uses Dandelion Wishes and some of my favourite purple and pinks.

This is such a beautiful stamp and I decided it needed very little in the way of additions. So a trio of matching coloured sequin and one of the sentiments and I called it done.

Supplies:
Stamps: HLS, Dandelion Wishes
Inks: Kaleidacolor, Berry Burst
Sequins from my stash

Still wanting to let the stamps do all the talking I used the trio of dandelion heads and simply created a shadow by re-stamping without re-inking.

I masked offthree sides of the base card and brushed on some gentle blue and green distress inks before finisheing off with a greeting from the same stamp set.

Supplies:
Stamps: HLS, Dandelion Wishes
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black, Ranger distress, cracked pistachio, chipped sapphire

The final stamps that I'm showcasing today are probably going to become my go to when creating snowy Christmas cards. The snow flakes in this set are just so incredibly beautiful!

I stamped and heat embossed the snowflakes into opposite corners using a sparklywhite embossing powder. I tjhen swiped two shades of distress ink over the top.

I added a strip of sparkly silver washi tape and matted the whole thing onto sparkly silver card and added the greeting onto a stitched die cut rectangle. Bet you can't guess what made me choose this particular greeting from the set? Well ok a bit obvious really!

Supplies:
Stamps: HLS, Let It Snow
Inks: Ranger distress, mermaid lagoon, chipped sapphire; Versamark clear + WOW! sparkling snow embossing powder
Washi & silver card from my stash

My final sample card for this wonderful new release is a chilly blue creation.

I maksed off a strip across the card and added distress inks in two colours. I then added the snowflakes using the same two colours and added an enamel dot to the centres.

And shortly after I made this card the sentiment happened and we did get snow. Not promising that will happen for you though!

Supplies:
Stamps: HLS, Let It Snow
Inks: Ranger distress, cracked pistachio, mermaid lagoon
Embellishments: Sparklets enamel dots
