AAA Cards Game #111 - Use Only One Third

Hi and welcome to my b;log.  Today I'm sharing my DT card for the new AAA Cards Challenge that starts today where we want you to only use one third of your CAS card.

I plumped for using the top horizontal third for my card, but of course it could be any third, horizontal, vertical or diagonal.


And as Winnie & Walter are sponsoring this challenge I mainly used their products.  I die cut the happy several times for dimension and placed it near the top before stamping the hat and CHRISTMAS.


I'm loving how there's a trick of the eye that makes the happy look as if it's been cut out of the white card base rather than out of the teal card and added on top.

Stamps: Winnie & Walter, Seasons Tweetings; Uniko, Festive Sentiments
Ink: SU, dapper denim
Die: Winnie & Walter, In a Word Happy Cutaway
Embellishments: Stickles, crystal

    I love your card Jane and I did think the Happy was cut out of the white at first, really clever design and i'm loving the cute little hat :)

    Jane, fabulous card! So simple - just one colour, but how smart you are to match the colour of the cardstock underneath and the shade of ink. Glitter is a perfect add on to your card! - Sweet Kobylkin

    Super card Jane - I also thought the 'happy' was cut out of the white base! The same thing happened with one of my die cut cards once and a commenter thought it may have been due to the lighting or camera angle - either way, I love the illusion on your card. Great design!
