Wednesday Words

Today I'm playing along with the Summer Flowers Challenge at Less Is More.

And what could be a more iconic UK Summer flower than a rose?

I started by stamping the horizontal lines of the edge and slightly down from the top of the card. I then stamped the rose bud onto a scrap of card, coloured it up and hand cut it. I chose yellow for friendship for the rose, but couldn't resist adding some pink highlights to it as well.

The rose was popped up onto foam pads and I finished it all off with a simple greeting.

Supplies:
Stamps: Uniko, Background Blocks Pinstripe II, Simply Said, Pure Florals Rose
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black
Colours: Copic, RV00, RV02, Y02, Y04, YG63

Thanks so much for stopping by today, it's been fabulous to have you visit my blog.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

  2. I saw this on Instagram Jane and was fascinated by it! I love the way the stalk of the flower follows the edge of the striped block. Interested to see the colours you used to colour your flower too :)
