Wednesday Words

It's time for a spot of water colouring at CAS Mix Up this month and there's also the theme of Beach.

Here's what I came up with:

I started by creating my water coloured background using an acrylic block and two distress ink colours. When that was dry I stamped and heat embossed the three shells from Funky Fossil's Starfish Wishes. I then added more watercolour to the shells using Inktense pencils and a water brush.

The greeting - listen to the sea - is also from Starfish Wishes. What do you think of the font with the upside down 't'? I'm getting used to it now, but at first it really made me wonder if I'd stamped it the wrong way up.

Supplies:
Ink: Versafine Clair, nocturne + clear embossing powder; Ranger distress, blueprint sketch, mustard seed
Colours: Derwent Inktense watercolour pencils

Huge thanks for looking today, I'm really pleased to have had your company for a while.

Stay safe and keep crafting!

  1. This is such a good card. I love the lovely watercoloured background and those shells are wonderful too, love how you have coloured them. Yes, that font is a bit strange, I couldn't read it at first, but it is good to be different. Thanks for joining us at CAS mix up this month xx
