Funky Fossil March Pre-Release Peeks - Cupcake Crazy

Woo Hoo!

It's time for a new release at Funky Fossil and today I'm showcasing the first of the pre-release peeks at Cupcake Crazy.

No photo description available.

Now you know you love cup cakes! And these ones are so cute - can a cupcake be cute? Well yummy then!

My first card uses two of the stamps and some neon bright colours. I created the background panel using the sprinkles stamp from the set and then placed a die cut window over them.

Both the cupcakes were stamped, hand cut and coloured using Copic pens. I stamped the greeting at the bottom of the window aperture and matted it all on to a hot pink card base.

Supplies:
Stamps: funky fossil, Cupcake Crazy
Inks: Memento, tuxedo black; Kaleidacolor, berry blaze, riviera
Die: Pretty Pink Posh, Window Frames
Colours: Copic, E00, E21, E33, C1, YG00, YG01, YG13, R81, R83, R85

My second card uses some more bright and vibrant colours. I stamped, hand cut and coloured the cake using Copic pens and then coloured up a die cut frame to match.

The greeting was put into a smaller matching die cut frame, also coloured with a Copic pen. I added some glossy accents to the hearts and cherries.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Cupcake Crazy
Ink: Memento, tuxedo black
Die: Lawn Fawn, stitched scalloped rectangle frames
Colours: Copic, BG11, BG15, BG53, RV55, RV66, YR15, YR16
Glossy Accents

My final card features my love of chocolate and some ombre pink cake cases. Well chocolate and pink, what's not to love?

I stamped and heat embossed the three cakes, coloured them with Copic pens and then cut them out and matted them onto die cut squares. The first two are popped up onto foam pads for added impact.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Cupcake Crazy
Inks: SU, chocolate chip + clear embossing powder
Card: Papermill Direct, Mocha Brown
Die: Lawn Fawn, Four Square Backdrop Portrait
Colours: Copic, E43, E44, E49, R81, R83, R85

Well that's the first day of pre-release peeks done for me. If you'd like to see more pop on over to the Funky Fossil blog and check out what the rest of the Design Team have been up to - you're sure to be impressed!

Thanks for your time today and be sure to come back tomorrow when I'll have more peeks.

Sunday Slot

Today I'm sharing a card I created to play along with the Stencil Challenge at STAMPlorations.

Here's my card:

I started by creating a background using two Funky Fossil stencils - Treadplate and Abstract Bamboo Background. I chose some bright contrasting distress ink colours and then die cut the panel using a double stitched MFT die.

The images and greeting are from Funky Fossil's Adventure stamp set and I simply stamped them straight on top of the distress ink background. One of the reasons I chose to use distress ink rather than distress oxide ink is because it is easier to stamp on top of, the oxide ink is much more opaque.

I finished off by matting the panel onto black and then onto a white card base.

Supplies:
Stamps: Funky Fossil, Adventure
Inks: Ranger distress, blueprint sketch, lucky clover; Versafine Clair, nocturne
Stencils: Funky Fossil, Treadplate, Abstract Bamboo Background
Die: MFT Die-namics, double stitched rectangle stx

Thanks so much for your time today, I'm so pleased you came to visit my blog.

Keep safe, stay home and craft!
