The Memory Nest - Make It Monday 35

The beginning of March and the first of the Make It Monday challenges at The Memory Nest. This sketch was such a fun one to work with and had me reaching for my stash of Simple Stories Say Cheese supplies once again.

http://thememorynest.blogspot.co.uk/

I started by trimming down three of the journal cards into squares and selecting this amazing background paper. I love how the colours are just so perfect for this adorable photo of Edward. I used a piece of vellum I found lurking for the triangle at the top of the page. It actually has flowers on, but I think they just look like splats and I like how the stars are muted but still visible.

There's been lots of speculation about whether or not to shorten Edward's name and if so which to use, so I included the variations on one of the journal cards. Teddy is currently their favourite - hence the title.

I used up the trimmed pieces from the journal cards to make the accent stacks at the top and bottom of the page.

And I couldn't resist stamping a few bears!

A sprinkle of sequins, upside down candi dots and a few stickers from Say Cheese and my page was done. And did I say I love the colours and patterns on these papers? Well naturally then the new Say Cheese II has found its way into my stash and will be appearing soon!

Supplies:
Papers: Simple Stories, Say Cheese; vellum scrap from my stash
Alphas: Simple Stories, Say Cheese
Stickers: Simple Soties, Say Cheese
Stamps: Uniko Studio, Sweet Baby
Ink: SU, early espresso
Embellishments: Sequins & candi dots from my stash

Hope you're going to play along and enjoy creating with this fab sketch. And remember it doesn't have to be a scrapbook page, cards are also welcome.

Thanks for your visit today, I do appreciate you spending some time here with me. And keep crafting!
